Naruto's POV

Soon, Aunt Mikoto arrives with something blue in her hands. She holds it up and smiles. "Ready to sleep?" Oh so it's a rope she's holding.

We nod and she comes towards us.

"For today, you will sleep on the same bed. Manage it. Tomorrow onwards, Naruto will sleep on the extra mattress, alright?"

I nod again. I feel nervous. At least the bed is big enough for two people so it won't be uncomfortable. Because I tend to move a lot in my sleep. But it won't matter anyway since we are getting tied.

"Okay then, lay on the bed facing opposite sides, your backs touching. And adjust your hands properly because you won't be able to move after getting tied." She instructs.

We do as said. An idea pops to my head. Oh, how obvious. She won't predict that we will just cut the rope. Maybe she is too trusting. And cutting the rope is really simple. After all, we are children training to be ninjas.

I am curious about the bluish glow emitting from rope she is holding. "That rope looks different. Did you choose it randomly? Or is it like in fashion or something?" I ask.

She just chuckles and I don't find it funny. In fact, it sounds scary. "Ah, I forgot that you are just a naive child." Looking at Sasuke, she says, "Well, Sasuke my boy, please explain this to Naruto."

I turn my head backwards to look at Sasuke but it is uncomfortable so I just sit up. I look at Sasuke and now notice the pale look on his face. "These are chakra infused ropes, Naruto. The blue glow you saw is chakra. You understand what it means, right?" He turns over, facing me.

"What?" I furrow my brows.

He looked at me with incredulity. "Seriously, Naruto? You don't know how chakra infused objects work or even what they are?"

"Please just tell me and get it over with." I say tiredly.

"What should I do with you?" He takes in a deep breath, as though he is trying to tolerate my ignorance.

"C'mon Sasuke, no need to be so mean about it. Just tell me already." I whine.

"So it basically means that we can't cut it how much ever strength or sharp objects we use. It can be broken by very few if not one means that I know. And that is by the gentle fist of the Hyuga clan. Alright? So honestly, we're screwed." He shakes his head.

"What?! That's insane. So we are being bound by that atrocious thing?" I point at at the rope as though it is a disgusting cockroach that girls hate so much.

"Alright, kids. I think you have totally forgotten me in all your talking. Now shall we?" She makes a grand sweep and as soon as we lay down again, she starts tying us as though we are presents which are to be wrapped. I don't like her enthusiasm.

"All done!" She claps. "Okay, bye kids! Have a good night." It is the last thing I hear from her and then she is gone.

Now we are left in silence and it feels awkward. I am facing the window and Sasuke is facing the couch. The door is directly opposite to the bed.

With our backs touching, I can feel the heat radiating from him and I involuntarily get closer. Ugh. What am I doing? I try to get away, but the rope tightens, almost leaving a mark. Wow, it's as though it is alive.

"Could you stop moving please? It's irritating." Sasuke complains.

"Yeah, right. As if I am the comfiest person in the world with the warmest teddy bear tied to me."

"Sarcasm doesn't suit you, dobe."

"Hmph." Angry, I squint my eyes and raise my chin, resulting in me bashing our heads.
