*Your POV (I'm making the reader wear glasses, so apologies if you don't wear them)*

"Y/n, wake up! You're going to be late!"

A familiar voice shouts from upstairs. I groaned, tossing and turning to realize I fell asleep with a book on my face. I open my eyes, seeing the dark pages frighten me for a second before I jolt up and catch my book before it falls onto the floor. I place a bookmark into the book, setting it on my nightstand where a stack of my other finished books laid. I stretched myself, feeling my tired muscles finally be used.

"Alright, I'm coming!" I shout back, swinging my legs off the bed and sitting up.

I grab some clothes and grab my glasses, rushing to find my shoes in my messy room.

I'm Y/n L/n and I'm a transfer student from the UK. This is my first time going to an American school, so hopefully it goes smoother than I imagine. I'm very intelligent for my age, is what everyone tells me. I'm very introverted; I hate social situations or any situations including others besides me. I love to read, if it isn't noticeable and the only thing more important to me other than knowledge is my pet cat- Luna.

"Meow~" Luna peered up; her ears jolting straight up as she noticed my body walking out my small and cramped room piled high with boxes.

"Morning Luna, I have to head to school- so be a good kitty!" I talked to her like she understood. Her eyes dilated, jumping onto my bed and licking herself while I walked out of my room.

Jogging down the steps, I notice my mom smiling at me. I smile back, happy to see her smile again.

"Y/n, hurry up and eat so I can drive you to school since you missed the bus." Sadly, the only thing I hated more than being rushed is our school uniforms.

"Alright, alright." I mumble, grabbing a plate of breakfast.

*Evan's POV*

I walk through the giant glass doors of Xena Academy. I hated this school uniform, but I always found a way to wear my red sports jacket on top of my uniform. I greeted Tyler and Marcel, since they were always the first to show up to school.

"Hey Vanoss!" Tyler greeted me as usual. Marcel was too busy texting his girlfriend.

Our group of friends; it's complicated to explain. We all look like a bunch of greasers, but we have a pact with nicknames. I of course am Vanoss, Tyler is Wildcat, Marcel is Basically, David is Nogla, Lui is just Lui- but he's special for a squeaker voice, Brock is Moo, Brian is Terrorizer, and Craig was called Mini.

Walking to first period with Marcel and Tyler, we sit in the back of the class- setting our feet up on the small desks we had assigned to us.

The bell soon rang for class to start and a flood of students came in through the door, quietly sitting in their seat as the teacher stood up to take attendance.

(Mini time skip)

A knock on the door interrupted class. I look to Tyler and he shrugged; everyone was here in class. Wonder who's there?

"Oh- class, we have a transfer student from England." The teacher opens the door to reveal a girl with h/l h/c hair with e/c eyes. She had some books she held close to her chest and giant glasses that was nearly a whole circle for her eyes. She looked nervous and anxious to be here, but I don't blame her.

"Introduce yourself sweetheart." The teacher stepped aside as she stood in the front of the class. She darted her eyes around, finally focusing her glance on me. Something about the way she looks at me-

"My name is Y/n L/n." She smiled slightly, showing some sign of dimples on her lightly flushed cheeks. There wasn't anywhere for her to sit though, so Tyler and Marcel giggled- startling a light mumble of laughter. I usually don't have or show guilt or emotions to other people, but something about the new shy girl made me get up and let her take my desk.

*Your POV*

Walking into class was just as terrifying as I imagined it being. Tons of students fixed their eyes upon me, so I tried looking all around to fix my eyes on something. I found this boy; he had dark black hair and tanned skin. Asian complexion with the stereotypical bully look and sound to his voice, but something about him... I ended up staring straight into his dark brown eyes.

"Introduce yourself sweetheart." The teacher broke me from my semi-day dream. I cleared my throat, trying my best not to stutter.

"My name is Y/n L/n." I spoke out; the two boys sitting on each side of the boy I locked gazes with started to giggle, causing a chain reaction of people to giggle along. I then noticed that there wasn't a seat for me, so I bowed my head in embarrassment.

"You can take my desk." I look up and the class goes silent.

"Dude, what the fuck?" One of his friends raise an eyebrow. The muscular boy I locked eyes with stood up and glared at me with a dashing smile.

I quickly shuffle over to him, noticing the overwhelming smell of cigarettes and cologne from him. He smirked down at me, moving his body so I could sit at his desk.

"What a nice gesture Evan." The teacher began to start class again. Evan now stood over his darker skinned friend; I felt their stares dig into me.

"Why did you do that? You didn't have to give your seat up to a scrawny bitch like that." I dart my eyes over at the darker boy that Evan stood next to.

"Well if you're so concerned about Evan so much, I'll fucking move." I whispered to him, taking him and Evan by surprised that I talked and listened to them. They then shut their mouths for the rest of class.

DING

The bell rang for class to be dismissed and a cluster of people walked out, but Evan and his friends stayed in the back of the class. I got up once the bell rang and disappeared into the cluster of people.

*Evan's POV*

"I don't know dude, something inside me made me get up." I tried to explain to Marcel and Tyler why I got up.

"I noticed her staring at you, do you think she likes you?" Tyler spoke up; the thought of a girl like her having feelings for me- it made me feel uneasy

"If she did, it's not like she can date me." I chuckle, making my friends laugh along. Deep down inside, I felt bad saying that. What's wrong with me?

Walking finally into the hallway, I notice Y/n at her locker. Since Marcel and Tyler walked off, I walked over to her; she struggled with the combination lock.

"Hey." I smoothly speak up to her. She had an earbud in one ear, but she turned to me with an aggravated look.

"What do you want Evan, to get your friends to bully me? Well, let them- not like I don't deal with it enough." She scoffs, finally opening her locker and taking out more books.

"No, actually. I-I wanted to apologize for Marcel's words." I felt my face get hotter, so I move my face so she couldn't see it. She shuts her locker and I feel her stare on me, so I look back at her.

"It's okay, if you want to talk shit- do it to where I can't hear you, alright?" She laughs, pushing me aside while she walks off.

"Where the hell are ya going?" I shout at her, hoping she could hear me. She turns around and shoots me a grin.

"To class, you should too!" She shouts back at me; I smile, walking off in the other direction.
