Seventeen

Louis

Liam's been trying to get us to leave again but neither Niall nor I want to go. Harry's been really nice to us while Liam and Zayn keep to each other mostly.

One day they were taking outside and Niall was asleep, leaving me and Harry. At first he was doing his own thing and I just sat and drew shapes on the floor.

Harry walked over to me and sat next to me. "You've been quiet. Anything going on?"

I shook my head and bit my lips. He wouldn't want to know about the nightmares that have suddenly come back. And they're still about the Lab.

"I know something up, Lou. You've been quiet since you got up and you keep waiting for Zayn to come back in."

I looked at Harry and let out a breath. It wouldn't kill me to tell him.

"I have these nightmares sometimes. They're always about the Lab and every time either I'm getting hurt, I'm being forced to watch one of them get hurt, or they're sending me back." I said the last part quietly but loud enough for Harry to hear. "Last night it was one where it was just me and Liam. We were in a town and we both had thought that everything had calmed down. We weren't running and he even had a job." I took a deep breath and tried to hold back my tears that were threatening to fall. "One day when he was gone there was a knock on the door. I went to answer it but paused when I saw people from the Lab. I moved as quietly as possible and called Liam asking him on what to do."

I stopped talking and Harry started rubbing my back soothingly. "He was the one who called them, huh?" Harry asked softly as a piece of hair fell in his face. I nodded my head and bit my lip. "Is there any reason you haven't been trusting him?"

I shook my head no. "Well, kinda. But I don't think it would be causing this. He's kept things from me before, to protect me, and it never caused nightmares."

"You probably think he's trying to get you. He has new people around, you're scared of bit knowing what's going on. Before there was some type.of schedule. Liam would be gone for so long, you'd see him. On certain days you would be the one getting taken. You'd go to sleep and know if he would be there or not in the morning. Now, you don't know what will happen. You don't know if you wake up if he's going to be there. Zayn and Niall are important to you now, something new. You don't know what to expect from them."

I nodded. "I really don't like it."

"Stay with me, then. I can keep you here, you'll be okay." Harry looked sincere, and I wanted to believe it.

But what would Liam say?

I shrugged and looked down, not sure what to tell Harry. I didn't want to tell him I'd stay because I know Liam would do anything possible to keep me by him. I didn't want to tell him no either.

Harry frowned for a second then went back to a soft smile. "Just think about it, okay?"

I nodded my head and yawned. My sleep had been choppy the night before because if the nightmares.

I decided to lay down and yawned again as I got comfortable.

I groaned in fustration as I paced back and forth while Zayn leaned against a tree.

"Liam, I'm not saying you're wrong. But think about it. He's gone through a lot of what we have. I don't see him working against us."

"Louis has been clinging to him the last few days!" I argued. "How long did it take him to trust you?"

"Not as long as you think, Li," Zayn replied. "He's just a trusting person. I doubt Harry's going to try anything. If he does, we leave as soon as possible."
