Louis stayed close to me and was quiet most of the night, not really what I had expected after getting here. I thought he would have been ecstatic, never better. Instead he's quiet and unsure, like he's afraid to do something wrong.

Samantha, or Sam for short, never had abilities. Thats the only reason she stayed with them.

We were eating when there was a knock on the door, so our dad got up and told us to stay quiet.

When he was around the corner I got up to follow, Louis and Niall both grabbed my arms and shook their heads.

"Ill be fine," I whispered before pulling my arms away and quietly walking and peeking around the corner.

"-sons have left the program without being released."

"What do you mean? You let them get out?" My dad asked angrily. I let out a small breath of relief.

"So you haven't see them? Or Niall Horan and Harry Styles? They have been reported as seen in a group with an unknown male as well."

"I dont know what you're talking about. And if you had any common sense you would get off my property and start looking for them before I sue you," he threatened, balling his fist.

"Of course sir, but as regulation we have to search the house. We have a warrant on the way, so it would be best to just let us in now."

I cursed under my breath, knowing they would have all exits blocked. I looked over at Louis, Niall, Zayn and Harry and shook my head, mouthing that the lab was here.

Louis shook his head and pointed to the back door, but I shook mine. I nodded my head towards the front and slowly raised my hands, but then Sam was in front of me.

She grabbed my arms and pushed them down before leaning closely and whispering, "If you go out there, they'll come in, even if you try to convince them you came alone. Its not worth risking it. Dad will get them to leave, just be patient."

"How-?"

She just shook her head before letting go of my arms and walking to the front door.

"Daddy, what's going on? Dinner's gonna get cold."

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, trying to listen to the conversation, bit my head was swimming

Why would he lie to me about Sam having abilities?

I looked over at Louis who was watching me as Zayn got up to move besides Niall and Louis, whispering to them quietly.

"Sir, it would be better just to let us in, this is the last warning."

Harry stood up and walked over to the front door, ignoring me when I grabbed him, pulling his arm out of mine.

"Rick, its clear. I have it under control," Harry said as he got to the door. "I'm working on finding them. They took my phone, so I couldn't get into contact with you."

"Are you sure? Your dad wants you back at the base, now."

Harry sighed. "I'll head back when I find them. I came here since Liam had said something about finding his parents, but that might have been to throw me off. Tell him I'll be back later."

"Okay, we're trusting you. Report back soon." He handed Harry another phone to use, to which Harry nodded his head and accepted it.

The door closed and everyone let out a breath of relief, except my dad and Harry.

I stepped into the entry way, seeing how pissed my dad was for Harry lying.

Once I stepped in though, it turned to me. "How could you let him be with you?! He's going to get you caught again!"
