Louis
"Can we take a break?" I asked. We had been walking for a while, and it was starting to get dark.
"Not now, Lou. They would of had to notice we're gone by now and probably have people all out around here."
I let my head fall as I watched the ground moved beneath me. Liam was holding my wrist and pulling me along. Niall was beside me, his jacket still being used for the berries. He was looking around, just mostly to keep watch. Liam was leading us, looking around just like Niall. Ever since I had woken up, they've been fine. There weren't any death glares from Liam, and Niall had toned down a bit. I felt like I missed something, but when I had asked they said they just talked some things out.
Liam paused suddenly, his grip on my wrist tightening. I heard a voice, but none of us had spoken.
"Niall, take Louis and hide in the bushes." Liam's voice was ice cold, so I knew not to argue. Niall... Not so much.
"It's not safe for-" Niall started to say.
"Go, now!" He growled. I pulled Niall to some small trees- bushes?- and pulled Niall down with me.
"Lesson one of Liam, when his voice is like that, you don't argue," I whispered.
Niall huffed. I saw a flash of light through the trees and winced. "Li, no."
"There weren't even clouds, how can there be lightning."
"That's Liam's ability. He can summon lightning at will. He shouldn't be, we'll get caught."
Niall mumbled something. He started to stand when lighting struck right in front of our hiding place.
"What the hell?" His muffled voice said. He threw his hands on his mouth to keep from yelling out.
"He's making sure he'll be able to find us." I was trying to stay calm, but I grabbed my knees and pulled them to my chest as I started shaking.
We cannot get caught. Liam will be okay. Liam will be-
"Run! Now!" I didn't even fully process that Liam had said it, let alone had already grabbed my wrist and was trying to pull me and Niall up at the same time.
"Liam, what's going on?" Niall asked as we ran.
"Not from the Lab, but they're crazy as hell," Liam said, letting go of Niall's wrist but keeping ahold on mine.
I heard yelling behind us. I turned my head and saw guys as tall as Liam running after us with bigger scalpel things in their hands. I stumbled, causing Liam to slow down. Niall bit his lip, turning to look back too. He stopped, dropped down, so I threw one leg over his back and wrapped my arms around his neck.
Liam didn't even look back, and Niall started running again but with me on his back. I put my head down on Niall's back so that I wouldn't be able to see anything. I heard thunder crack in the sky.
"Liam, is that a good idea?" Niall asked.
"I'm trying to scare them, even if they don't know it's me," he said.
I grabbed onto Niall tightly, shutting my eyes.
"You're okay, Louis. It's okay," Niall said.
"Left. Turn left," Liam said. Niall followed him, barely slowing down.
I felt something fly past us, and Niall saying 'shit'.
"They're throwing their knives," Niall said.
"How are they keeping up with us?" Liam asked.
Niall didn't answer. "I can't keep this up for much longer," Niall huffed.
