Chapter 9

*a few weeks later*

Everything had gone back to normal, I guess. Execpt the fact that Zach and Daniel were dating our arch enemies. The boys still refused to believe me or let me explain anything. I just tried to brush it off. Me and Daniel weedsssssssre still very awkward. Lucy refused to accept Zach exsited. But could you really blame her. My phone buzzed, expecting August or Aspen, maybe even Lauren. I was very suprised to see danniphantom sent you a iMessage starring back at me. I quicky opened it.

hey ash! We haven't gotten to hang out lately...

I was wondering if you wanted to go to the fair?

okay, i'll be at your place at noon.

I had butterflies in my stomache. Why?? I had to remember he was dating Jordan. This was not a date.

I quickly hopped in the shower. After I got out I let my hair dry and did my makeup.
I flipped through clothes looking for the perfect outfit.

It was perfect, simple but perfect. I checked the time is only 1 PM. I decided to go across the street to Starbucks and finish editing this weeks video.

I order my usual and sat down at a table where I could look out the window. 

*1 hour later*

I was just putting the last touches on the video, when a car pulled up. Daniel hopped out. I quickly snapped the Mac shut and threw my cup away. I pushed open the door and yelled "Hey Daniel!" I waved. He turned around and grinned. I walked over to him, "C'mon Ash the Uber is waiting." He said, he motioned to the car beside him. I nodded and we both got in.

We arrived at the fair and it was in full swing. Kids ran around with Cotten candy and face paint. Adults were trying to keep up with them. Teenager couples were winning prizes, and kissing behind booths.
Me and Daniel walked around for a while when I spotted one of my favorite things. It's like a house and you have to get through obstacles. Like in Grease, "Daaannieeelll!" I screamed excitedly, I quickly ran over to the line. There was only a few people in front of me. "Oh, I love these things!" He said, coming up behind me. Butterflies. I had to stop myself again, this was not a date.
We entered, Daniel almost fell going through the spinning circle, I laughed. He glared and righted himself.
I giggled as we slid down the slide to get out. 
Daniel ran over to a game as soon as he stood up. It was one of those pop the balloon things. He quickly won, and got a giant stuffed panda. Pandas are my favorite animal and I'd been making heart eyes at it while he threw darts. He handed it to me, "you can have it." He said. I scrunched my brows, "But why?" I asked, he chuckled "Ash, you've been making heart eyes at it this entire time." He laughed to himself, I shrugged and happily took the panda from his arms. 

We rode a few rides, and then around sunset we decided to get on the ferris wheel. I left the panda I'd now named Harold, by the exit.

The ferris wheel went out over the beach. I was starting to get anxious as we got closer and closer to the top. Daniel stared at the sunset. He snapped a few pictures. 
We stopped at the very top. "Ash look how beautiful the sunset is.." Daniel said, I looked over at him. My heart was racing we were stuck at the top, and I didn't trust this thing at all. 

Daniel looked at me and grinned. Man his blue eyes were so cute. How could anyone ever look away? He started leaning in. We were very close now. I held my breath, he leaned in farther almost touching my lips, I closed my eyes.
All of a sudden in stead of feeling his lips, I felt the jerk of the ferris wheel as it went back into motion. Daniel blushed and turned away from me. I blushed as well.

Once we got off, me and Daniel headed back.
He walked me to my room, before I opened the door he said "I'm really sorry about the ferris wheel." He looked down at the floor. I frowned, "Daniel you didn't do anything wrong. I should have never let you get that far." I say Harold at my feet and took a step and hugged Daniel around the neck having to stand on my tippy toes to reach. He grinned, "Talk to you later Ashley." He started to walk down the hallway.

Smiling I opened the door, Lucy was sitting on the couch. She turned to look at me. "ASHLEY WHY THE FRICK FRACK WOULD YOU KISS DANIEL." She screamed. I jumped, dropping Harold. "But I didn't kiss Daniel." I said, picking up Harold. "Then what are these photos??!" She said showing me a twitter post.

I bit my lip nervously. "Lucy I swear we didn't kiss. We were close but we didn't kiss." My phone rang. I answered, "hello?" I put the phone on speaker. "You better stay away from Daniel. I saw the photos" Jordans voice answered. Then the line went dead. Oh no..
