Porter stared at Paige.
"You want to.... break them up?,"
She nodded, not seeing why he was so confused. "Yeah,"
"We don't even know if he's bi," Porter crossed his arms.
Paige rolled her eyes. "Don't you think I would have found that out before hand? I asked Evie about it and she said Gil dated this guy named Harry for a little bit back on the Isle,"
Porter nodded slowly, taking in the information. But he hesitated.
"But... what about Carmalita? I don't want to hurt her feelings,"
Paige sighed. "Alright, I'll tell ya what. If the first three out of five stages of my plan don't work, then we'll call it off and I'll sign you for that Enchanted Harmony dating site. Deal?,"
Porter smiled at that last joke, and nodded. "Alright. Deal,"
Paige smirked. "Ok. Stage one....,"
-
Stage one was simple enough. All Porter had to do was ask Carmalita to invite to their hangout.
Which he did.
"Sure. I-I'll ask him, he'll probably agree to it,"
Porter tried to hide his enthusiasm.
"Cool!,"
When they said their goodbyes, Porter met up with Paige again.
"See? That wasn't so bad,"
"Yeah, well that wasn't the part I was worried about. Do we really have to freaking poison her?,"
Paige rolled her eyes. "It's not posion, it's just a little sickness potion. We're not gonna kill the girl, Porter. Geez,"
Porter rolled his eyes in response. "Whatever. How much do I need to give her?,"
Paige took the potion out of her pocket, along with the instructions. "Says here.... one drop to make a person sick for three days," She read. She hands him the bottle.
"I don't know about this Paige-,"
"Ah, ah! We had a deal!,"
He sighed. "Alright. Fine," He bit his bottom lip as he went to his next class, not feeling all too thrilled about lunch.
-
Lunch came around way too soon, and Porter was really nervous.
But, Paige was right. They had made a deal, so he had to go through with it.
It's not like the potion will kill her or anything, all's he had to do was sneak a drop into her drink or something.
He could do that.
When he got to her table, Gil was there too. Great.
He sat down and they both smiled at him.
After talking for a bit, Porter learned that Gil had agreed to the hangout Saturday. Only now, they were hanging out at the Enchanted lake instead of the Library.
While the two continued to talk, Porter took this as an opportunity to use the potion.
He slowly grabbed Carmalita's water bottle filled with fruit juice, and squeezed a drop into it, quickly putting it back on the table as she turned around.
She grabbed the drink and Porter glanced at her, searching for any signs of discomfort.
She blinked, then frowned. Then she suddenly began to cough violently.
Porter's eyes widened and he immediately regretted putting that in her drink.
Gil put a hand on her back and patted it gently, frowning in concern.
Her complexion had turned pale and she was beginning to sweat. Maybe he out too much?
Both boys breathed a sigh of relief when she stopped coughing, but their concern quickly came back when she started swaying slightly.
Then she suddenly jerked backwards. Gil quickly put a hand on her back and pulled her to him, keeping her from falling backwards.
Porter stood up. "I-I'll go get the nurse,"
While he ran to the nurses office, all he could think about was how terrible this plan was going.
Word Count- 603.
Plot twist number three!
Thanks again Lolxcaekae for this idea. It helped a lot! Lol.
What are your guy's thoughts on Porter's actions, and/or Paige's plan?
