Carmalita stared at him.

"Well, had, not anymore,"

She blinked.

"This doesn't.... change anything between us, does it?,"

Coming back to her senses, she quickly shook her head. "N-No, no. It's fine, I just.... I didn't know you were gay,"

He smiled sheepishly. "Yeah.... it's not something I'm very open about,"

She nodded.

There was a silence.

"Do you mind if I-I tell Gil, do you? H-he was getting a little jealous,"

He blushed again, but shook his head. "That's fine,"

Her and Gil were in his room now, both laying on his bed.

"So.... Porter had a crush on... me? Not you?," 

Carmalita nodded. "Mhm,"

"Huh,"

He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close to him. "Well, at least I don't have to worry about that anymore,"

She looked up at him. "You were worrying about it?,"

He blushed, smiling sheepishly. "Yeah, a little,"

She smiled, leaning up and pressing a kiss to his lips.

He kissed her forehead when they pulled away.

"There aren't any... other guys in that book club, are there?,"

She laughed, and kissed his cheek reassuringly. "No, Gil. P-Porter and I are the only t-two people in the club,"

He nodded.

"Wait, seriously? Out of this whole school, there's only two people in the book club?,"

She nodded, then shrugged. "P-Pretty much, yeah,"

Porter sighed as he sat on his sister's bed. "You did the right thing, Porter,"

He looked up at Paige. "Yeah.... but I feel bad for lying to her,"

"It's better than admitting to still having a crush on her boyfriend. Who knows, maybe they'll break it off," Paige shrugged, sitting next to him.

He laughed slightly. "That wouldn't make anything better, I'd just be dating her ex-boyfriend. That's worse," He sighed, and rubbed his face.

She nudged him. "Quit being such a Debbie Downer, dude. There's plenty of fish in the sea,"

Porter nodded, smiling.

"Yeah,"

She was right, there are plenty of fish in the sea, so....

Carmalita could find someone else.... right?

Plot twist number two! 😈 I bet you guys thought he was all sweet and innocent! Well.... he is, kind of, but....

I was going to make Paige have a thing for Carmilita, idk, it could still happen.
