Not long after our weird hug - if we can call it that way - Leo had to leave because of his schedule. He told me that once my trial would be over and I would have passed all the tests, I would be given a schedule as well, and that some people would be around me to make sure I would follow it.
Never be late, never be early. Always be on time. That was the rule.
He also had to tie me back to the chair, either way, they would not open the door let him leave. However, he made sure that the rope was not hurting me anymore.
It was odd and careless to think such a thing, but I already liked Leo. Even though I only met him a few minutes ago, what happened between him and me was somehow just like what happened between Aidan and I. I did not know a single thing about Leo, yet I knew that he was good and harmless.

I had been left alone for hours and hours straight. There was nothing to do, nothing to look at, no-one to talk to and nowhere to go. What can you possibly do when you cannot move and cannot distract yourself and keep your mind busy? You think.
You confront your thoughts.
This is exactly why I forced myself to sleep.

I woke up in the same room in which I fell asleep in, tied to the same chair, wearing the same white clothes. The only different thing was the huge plasma TV in front of me and the headphones on my skull.
My eyes were not even fully open that I was already listening to a man talking. I only heard the end of his sentence. It came from the video that was playing on the TV in front of me, It must have been on repeat for hours and hours straight.
I just woke up, yet I already knew the man's speech by heart. I simultaneously repeated what he was saying as the video started over.
"We are very rare," I heard his deep and almost robotic voice for the umpteenth time. I could not see who was talking, there was just a sliding show accompanying the voice. "We represent less than 0.0005% of the Earth population. A long time ago, we were five. Little by little, we discovered brothers and sisters from all around the world, and we still continue to - this is why you are here today. Joining The Eye is not a choice, it is not a trend either - is is a lifestyle. The Eye makes you an I, it makes you a you, it makes you a brother and makes you a sister. The Eye makes us a we and it makes us stronger."
I got so bored. I threw my head back and rolled my eyes. I tried to scream as loud as possible, the man's voice was always louder. I gave up on repeating after him.
"The Eye is more than just an organisation, it's a family and as a family, we stick together. We are all seeking peace, voluntarism, harmony, freedom, understanding and reconciliation."
If I kept rolling my eyes that much, they would end up stuck in the back of my head.
According to the way that I have been treated since the day I arrived, The Eye was a bullshit, a complete lie, a utopia.
"After your tests, you will be an Eye. You don't know how lucky you are to be sitting on that chair."
All of a sudden, I got angry, mad and frustrated. I felt like a beast in a cage that was way too small for me. I could not bear that voice anymore, I could not stand those lies anymore. Lucky? Lucky, my ass!
