"All things remain in inertia until an external force acts on them."

Calex
2/2/35

I opened my locker.

I barely escaped being late today.
On the way to school, one of my tyres was cut through by a sharp object on the road.

I had pulled over to replace the faulty tyre with the spare but by the time I brought out the spare, it was even more damaged than the one I wanted to change.

I didn't remember ever using the spare and bursting it up like that.

What was with me and forgetting stuff lately?

It took me about thirty minutes to sort out my tyre situation and it was quite stressful too.

I left the car in the repair shop and had Tyrese pick me up.

The experience was quite frustrating and had dampened my mood by the time I opened my locker.

I took out my change of clothes and slipped them into my back pack.

I had workshop that morning; a course on how to manipulate all appliances around us ranging from ventilation systems to generators and even to automobiles.

I hung my bag properly over my shoulder, turned to the direction of the class towards the right side of the hall and saw Margo.

I planned to walk right past her and just keep moving.

No, I didn't even plan to say hello.

She was looking at a piece of paper and clearly trying to figure out the content of the paper as she periodically looked around the hall and then back at the paper.

I walked down towards her and as I got closer, I felt a strong pull....

It was like a force was pushing me towards her.

My legs were no longer obeying my commands, but the commands of this strange force.

I found myself walking towards her and by the time I got to her side she turned to look at me and smiled.

I wasn't myself anymore. My actions were not my own. The words I spoke had never crossed my line of thought.

I was being controlled, but by what?

"Hey, Margo."

My mouth, which had become an independent member of my body, spoke.

"Oh hi Calex! I didn't think you would say hi to me today." Her smile grew wider.

"Well, here I am." I don't know why I did but I smiled.

"You seem to be having troubles with that piece of paper." My mouth continued.

"Well yeah of course you noticed. It's my class schedule and I can't seem to find room 204." She sighed as she spoke.

"I have a few minutes to spare so I guess I could take you there."

I offered to help her and next thing I knew, we were walking down the hall to room 204.

When we got to the front of her class she turned to face me.

"Thanks."

She could not have looked more innocent than that moment.

I opened my mouth to speak and just then she did something with her eyes.

Her brown eyes turned blue then green than back to brown.

It happened fast. If I wasn't looking at her I would have missed it.
