A/n: Please read. A certain problem has been occurring with this book. Like whenever I read my book in Reader's mode, wattpad cuts away parts of my book and it's so bad that it doesn't even make sense anymore and in some parts I just see a jumble of rubbish like '1666688628234991fyebjwjbe'. I need to know if you guys are experiencing the same problem with this book and if you have solutions please let me know.

My earphones were plugged into my ears as I walked home. The volume was on a moderate level so I could still hear my surroundings.

My mom was meant to pick me up because we had left my car behind, but,  she didn't show up. I tried reaching her on her cellphone but failed so I decided to walk home instead. I figured since my home wasn't so far from my school, I would get home in one piece.

I was really good with roads and routes. I could ply a route just once and memorize it completely so getting home wasn't going to be a problem. I had put a black hoody in my bag earlier, which I then wore and my panty hose did a considerable job of preventing much cold.

Our weather was predominantly cool. All around the year, in different seasons, there was always an element of cold in the air.

As I walked with subtle music in the background, I dived deep into my thoughts and replayed the happenings of the day.
After my encounter with the arrogant Calex being, my day was manageable. I hadn't made any friends but I had taken notice of a few people. A certain Blondie attempted to converse with me but my responses were so discouraging, she gave up. It was not my style to make instant friends, in fact, I was skeptical about people who eagerly and instantly wanted to befriend me. You never know what could be a trap.

That was the kind of life I lived. I was observant about much, cautious about everything. I thought extremely well before taking decisions. I realized actions have consequences so I was careful.

"Slam!"

I stopped suddenly and pulled my earpiece out of my ears as I looked around. I had heard a sound, like someone being slammed against a wall. There was no one else asides me but, a few steps away from me was a turning to a corner. I suspected the sound had come from there. I decided to check it out and as I moved closer, I heard a voice.

"Get your hands off me!"

There was anger evident in the voice and I stopped again suddenly when I realized that's the voice was strangely familiar. I continued walking and as I turned into the corner, the voices got louder. I could see the owners of the voices but not clearly. There were two guys and a victim. One of the guys was holding the victim by the throat and against the wall. The victim was a young male who looked very familiar.

They were so engrossed in whatever they were doing that they didn't hear or see me coming. I got closer and I recognized him. The boy being held up against the wall was no other than the arrogant Calex being.

I stopped walking immediately. What was I doing there? This was none of my business. I should have walked away but the hold on his neck tightened and the guy didn't look like he was going to let go.

I didn't know who this guys were but they looked like they were in their twenties. One of them was wearing a simple black shirt and Blue Jeans, while, the one holding Calex was putting on a similar black shirt with black jeans.
