_
monday comes slowly - mainly because i didn't sleep at all the night before.

i hear my alarm go off, and i lazily leave my bed. it's odd - i am always exhausted, but never manage to find sleep.

i finally build up the courage to get up and get dressed and brush my teeth and all that, after 10 minutes of pressing snooze. ugh.

i go downstairs to make some breakfast as usual, but my mom isn't down yet, and my dad's off to work already. i pop some frozen waffles in the toaster, and make some coffee. i put an apple in my bag in case i get hungry at school, and with that, i leave for school.

i'm early again, but it's mainly because i absolutely hate walking into class late, or just rushing in general.

i don't see any of my friends yet, and figure they can come find me if they need me. i like to take moments alone before school to regather my thoughts and relax a bit, and i sometimes even find time to write before school. i sit on a bench outside, and pull out the notebook i write all my emotional crap in. i was feeling particularly inspired, although my headache was as worse as it's ever been.

after sitting down for what seemed like only minutes, a voice emits from behind me - frankly, really startling me.

"i don't believe i ever got your name!" the voice shouts, and i immediately shut my notebook, scared to death.

i turn around, to see that cute pink haired boy.

i take a moment to regain my breath and remember his name.

"jeez, uh... josh, is it?" i say to him as he comes and sits down next to me.

"wow! you remembered! now, what's your name, random stranger that hit me with the door?" he seemed like a quite outgoing person, i would've never expected this boy to draw the things i saw on friday. people can surprise you sometimes.

"tyler." i say, my headache pounding more vigorously as time goes on.

"well, tyler, it's nice meeting you." he pauses for a moment. "and, are you okay? you look like you're in pain." he pauses again, not getting an answer from me.

"what are you doing out here in the cold?" he says, resting his arm on the back of the bench.

"just trying to uh..." i say, looking down at my notebook. on the front, i'd written my name - in case it'd got lost. for some reason, the letters were all blurry when i looked down at them.

"hey, there's like, a blurry spot in my vision, i don't know what's going on-" i say dazed, and he interrupts.

"shit, dude, you're probably having a migraine. want me to bring you to the nurses? those can be pretty brutal." he says, panicking a little.

"yeah... that'd be great, actually. thanks." i say, as he takes my stuff and puts my arm around his shoulder.

he was way more muscle-y than me, so it wasn't hard for him to help carry my small frame walk. at this point, i couldn't see in half my vision.

dang, this boy is strong.

that's hot.

what am i saying?

"we're here." josh says, opening a door to what i assume is the nurses office.

"hi, uh, tyler-" josh begins to tell the nurse what's going on, but i sit down into a chair behind him and interrupt. "i-i-i-i've got a migraine."

josh pauses. "yeah... that."

"my pain is ranging from up, down, sideways..." i say, clutching my head.

"did he try drinking some water?" the nurse says, not looking up from her book.

josh laughs. "i'm pretty sure water and band-aids aren't the cure for everything... ma'am."

the nurse slowly looks up from her book, annoyed. "fine. take two painkillers from the box and leave him here to rest."

_

i wake up, and immediately realize my head doesn't feel like its being crushed between two metal plates anymore. i feel extremely dazed, like i woke up in another century, but my headache is mostly gone and my vision is back to normal.

i begin to sit up and gather my stuff. i wonder what time it is. i pull my phone out from my pocket.

14:30

well school ends in 15 minutes - perfect. did i just... sleep almost 7 hours? damn, what did that lady give me?

i walk out of the dark room i was laying in, and immediately spot josh in the waiting room.

"ty! you're okay!" he says.

i smile at him. "yeah, i'm feeling a lot better." i thank the nurse and we begin to walk out of the door.

"did you... did you wait the whole day for me?" i ask josh as we both head towards the exit.

he chuckles a very, very cute chuckle. "yeah. honestly, it was better than sitting in class all day. i just told them i was sick too - you and i both know the nurse doesn't care at all." he laughs.

his laugh made my heart flutter a little bit. it was almost like anxiety, but much more innocent and pure than that.

was i... starting to have feelings for him?

i mean, i've never really had feelings for a guy before, but i guess there's a first time for everything.

in the midst of my daydreaming, i walk with josh over to his car. "want me to drive you home?" he asks, opening the side door for me.

"no, it's okay, i can walk. my house is really close. but thank you." i say, starting to turn around.

"tyler, if it's close, thats not an inconvenience to me. get in." he says.

i pause, and then turn back around, smiling at him. i get into the car and he shuts the door behind me, walking around to the other side.

his car smelled like lavender with a hint of french fries. it wasn't a bad smell.

on the drive home, we talk more about our lives to each other. i find out he's also a senior, and he's planning on being an artist or a drummer when he graduates. hell, i don't even know if i'll make it until i graduate.

within minutes, the short drive is over and he's sitting outside my house.

"see you tomorrow, ty." he says.

"bye." i say, blushing, and begin to get out of the car.

just as i'm about to close the door, i hear his voice shout out -

"wait! wait! i never got your number!"
