Bluntness isn't meanness.
It's being able to tell your friend that the dress just isn't pretty.
Or telling someone if you don't work harder, you're going to fail.
Slytherins don't say things to be mean, they say them because someone has to say them.
Hufflepuffs are too nice to say them, Ravenclaws are too cautious to say them, and Gryffindors just don't want to be the one to say them.
Slytherins are okay with having to be blunt. People might be mad at them for a little, but the Slytherins are usually right. People forgive them, and thank them.
Bluntness is appreciated, usually.
