The Letter Romance

Chapter 21

I got up that morning hoping to get dressed up and looking cute so i could impress Parker.

I curled my hair and put on my usual make up. I put on my purple tank top and my gray striped cardigan.

I left my house early so i could get to the school earlier than I normally would. I hoped Parker would be there so i could give him my answer to the date he had invited me on in a previous letter.

I walked down the hall to where our grade's lockers are. I saw him sitting on the side of the Hall, on the floor. He was deep into the homework he was doing and didn't realize I was walking towards him until I stopped just a step away from him.

"Hey Addison," he smiled as he closed his book.

"Hi Parker, how are you this morning?" I asked as I smiled at him.

"Well, Im doing much better now." I smiled as i could see him blushing slightly.

"That's always a good thing." I said as i slid down next to him on the floor.

"Yeah, so hows your morning been?" He asked.

"Similar to yours, it just got better about a couple minutes ago," I said as he smiled.

"Well you look very pretty today," he blushed, as did I.

"Awe thanks, I have an answer for you about the date you have in mind." I turned towards him.

"Well what do you think?" He looked down nervously.

"I think it sounds fun, I say we do it!" I laughed at how serious he was.

"Really? Great!" He lit up as he heard my answer.

By then, many people had shown up for school and my friends had shown up and so did his.

"I better go," I said as he stood up and then helped me up, "thanks."

"No problem," he said, "I better go too."

I gave him a quick hug before I started to leave.

"Hey Addi? He said quietly.

"Yeah?" I wondered out loud.

"Pick you up at 5:30?" He smiled.

"Sounds great!" I beamed.

I walked over to my friends and was greeted by many 'hey Addison's and 'hi Addison.

"Hey Addi, what are you doing you doing tonight?" Megan asked me.

"I have a date tonight," I said, "why?"

"We were just planning on going to the new game center and then going to get some type for dessert." Megan explained.

"I'd love to but I can't pull out of this date." I spoke. "Sorry!"

"Oh, who's your date?" Just the question I was wanting to avoid!

"Um, I don't think you would know him," I tried to get the subject changed.

I wasn't sure if I wanted people to know that Parker and i are beginning to almost start dating. I didn't know if my friends would approve, I mean Parker and his friends are completely different from my friends and i don't I don't know how accepting they would be of them. I font know how accepting he would be of them either.

Well, I don't care, I just need to decide how much I like him, and i need to find out how much he likes me. I hope he likes me as much as i happen to like him.

"Oh," said Megan.

"Yeah. He's way cute and i can't wait! It's going to be way fun! I think we're making homemade pizza, or something way fun!" I said trying to get her off the topic of who he was.

"Well have fun!" She said dropping it.

"I will!"

I knew I would have the time of my life with Parker tonight.

I have a date with Parker tonight! I have a date with Parker tonight! I have a date with Parker tonight! I could stop repeating in my head that tonight I had a date with Parker!
