Chapter 28- My Turn

I woke from my dream abruptly. I was dreaming that I had taken Parker to meet my parents as my boyfriend. I realized that I hadn't really introduced Parker to my parents as my boyfriend.

I figured that now would be good time to sit and plan a way for Parker to meet my family. I had no school, no homework, not a thing to do today. I guess I might as well figure out ways for them to meet with out it being too horrendous.

I called Parker at 10 to see what he had in mind for the day and to see if he would want to hang out.

"Hey Addi," he said as he answered his phone. He sounded almost a little tired and not very excited to hear from me this early.

"Hi Parker, did I wake you up?" I wondered.

"No, I've been up for a bit, I'm just a little.." He let it end with that much.

"You okay?"

"I am now, what about you? How are you?" Parker was avoiding something... Maybe he doesn't want to talk about it over the phone.

"Well I just woke up, i have bed head, absolutely no makeup on, and um, I'm talking to the greatest guy. I would say I'm doing great!" I blushed as I said it.

I heard him chuckle as I talked. I hope he didn't think that was cheesy or dumb. It was all true. I was sitting in my bed, with my hair going in every direction, not a drop of makeup on, and I was talking to him. My him. My day was off to a great start. Unlike Parker's apparently.

"Well that honestly just made my day so much better. You don't even know." he pause before continuing, "You tend to do that a lot actually."

"I have an idea... How about you come over to my house, I can make us breakfast, we can have a Pajama and sweat pants party and be lazy and watch movies and talk. Would you want to?" I hope I have enough food and entertainment for a day of being lazy. if not, we can take a trip in our pjs to the store.

"I had a lot planned for the day, but I need out of my house. I can be there in about 10 minutes. does that work?" I could hear how much happier he sounded and how his day is already better.

"sounds good, so do you want me to start pancakes or french toast?" I asked as I got up from my bed and walked into my shared bathroom.

"Hmm, today I have to say French toast." I laughed at his response.

"that's what I was thinking!" I said as I took a look at myself in the mirror and realized I needed more than ten minutes to be viewable by Parker.

My hair was going wild in every direction, not to mention it was tangled more than I had ever seen it before. My makeup was smudged all down my face and it closely resembled the Joker from Batman.

"Addi?" Parker spoke pulling me out of my reverie.

"I was saying I'm just leaving and I have to go. I'll be there in about 10 minutes,okay?" I had to find a way for him to be a little later.

"Would you mind picking up some powdered sugar? I think I'm out.." yeah, that's a good excuse.

"Sure, do you need anything else?"

"Nope, that should be all we need."

"Okay I'll be there as soon as I can!' he actually sounded like he was getting excited to hang out.

"Okay, bye Parker!" I said as he returned a goodbye before hanging up.

Now I have to get ready and get the french toast started before he gets here!
