Chapter 21

Paul's Pov

I know Dawn didn't want me to go with her but I have a bad feeling about her going by herself to the car, so I quickly went after her. I saw her approaching the car and since I was a little behind her I didn't know what she was saying. I could hear her mumbling a few words. I was about to say something to her when I saw a guy that was approaching her reaction to his voice seemed off. I started to run to her I know he didn't mean well I saw her fall right in front of my eyes she passed out. I came just in time to catch her delicate body in my arms. I looked at her face it was pale she must have been terrified of that guy but why. 

I only saw the back on his hoodie at first once I caught her he instantly looked at me with his beading black eyes. I saw the rest of his face was covered by his hair it could be a wig, but he looked at Dawn and then at me "Next time I will get you" and with that, he went running through the underground garage. After he left I quickly grabbed my phone with one hand while setting Dawn down gently on the floor with the other. Hope she doesn't get mad about her hair and clothes getting dirty I thought. I quickly texted in the group chat "SOS come quick" I need to check her pulse I grabbed her wrist and noticed it was normal so I sighed of relief the guys need to hurry.

3rd Pov - with the rest of the gang

DINGG everyone's phone rang signaling an incoming message. "What could this be about" questioned Misty everyone shrugged at the redhead's question. They all grabbed their phones to unlock it except for May who was digging through a bag of pocky "Guys why have Dawn and Paul taken so long?" she said as she shoved her last stick in her mouth. They all grew silent to the brunette's question and looked up from reading the message. "Uhh May read the group chat," said Drew who looked at his gf with a worried look. May was confused at first but unlocked her phone and saw the message "Oh my Arceus" she yelped and without saying a word bolted out of the food court. Everyone quickly followed after May with Drew trailing her, "May everything will be ok". As everyone saw Paul and Dawn questions exploded everywhere "What happened? Is she ok?? What the hell happened"??? 

"Calm down everyone said Leaf now Paul" she turned to him and said "Will you explain what the frick happened here," she said angrily but with a calm tone. After Paul explained to them that she had passed out due to the fact that she was on low sugar levels and from fear they worked out a plan. 

"I'll splash her with a small water gun" volunteered the redhead. Everyone agreed and she gently splashed water on the bluenettes face. "Ahhh he's gonna get me" was Dawn's immediate reaction and she started throwing her ice beams all over the parking lot and hit Paul square in the face. He didn't care tho "Dawn calm down everything is ok" he said trying to reassure her. He helped her stand up "Guys I'm fine just a little shakin up but let's just get going," she said with a weak smile. "We should get going before we cause a major scene and security gets called," says Leaf looking around her car to see if it was somehow damaged or played with. Everyone was about to get in their cars when they felt a bad feeling and they looked and Paul who said: "Let's just get out of here". 

With girls -Leaf's POV 

Dawn seemed pretty well due to the fact she just passed out she's so strong that is a good characteristic to have. I was driving up the highway but was trying to slow down since I was going a little fast too fast in fact. I don't remember the last time I even used the brakes. I don't wanna seem like I'm freaking out so I gently pushed on them and they wouldn't work. I decide to push harder and it wouldn't bulge "Uh Oh". "Leaf what's the matter," asked Misty who was sitting next to me in the passenger seat. "Ughh I don't know I can't brake they aren't working I don't know how to stop". 

"Woah wait so you're telling us that the brakes don't work and we could crash into anything right now?" said May who looked like a lost puppy trying not to cry. "Precisely," I said to her "Oh ok," she said calmly. "Wait what," they all said. "What are we gonna do" asked Dawn gripping onto the seat in front of her. "Misty is usually good under pressure right," I said. I noticed she was deep in thought but she then said: "There is one idea that comes to mind but it's all gonna be on Leaf if she wants to do it because it could risk her and our lives".

With the boys in their car 

Drew was driving behind the girl's car and noticed something was off "Guys" he said nervously. "Yea, what's up and FOOD" was their response to the green-haired teen. "Something isn't right with the girl's car he said pointing at the bottom of the car something is dripping from it".  "Maybe it's" Ash was interrupted by Gary screaming "Leaf Green what the hell are you doing" they all focused on what the brunette was doing "Oh no," they said in unison. "She's dead said Gary literally".
