The First Text (A Why Don't We Fanfiction)

{Side note} Sorry, I always do these lmao. But just quick words that I liked this chapter better. I'm getting into this whole story-writing thing. But still, bare with me, I'm trying to improve each chapter and make them interesting. Always up for suggestions or requests. Enjoy my loves!💛

I know what I'm going to do.

After hours of thinking (it's now about 7:30pm) and the conuntless amount of times I walked around my bedroom, I have an idea.

I'm going to text Zach.

You may be thinking, way to go Eli or who even cares?

Well, I'm going to text him and tell him I'm visiting him. I'll be all cool and then be like "btw I'm coming to visit you".

He'll be super confused and then he might actually answer me and then phone me (hopefully).

I'D DIE AGAIN IF HE DID.

I'm not actually visiting him. It's just a little, white lie....

I've been thinking of topics to text him for ages and I finally came up with that. It may not be the best but it's reasonable. And then there may be a chance of him actually responding.

I mean, it's such a shit idea, the more I think of it but I REALLY want to speak to him again.

I want to have the rush of adrenaline when his name pops up on my phone.

Okay, here goes nothing....

Eli~"Hi Zach" DELETE.

Nope, too childish.

Eli~" Yo Zach" DELETE.

Nah, it feels like I'm copying him because he said that the first time.

Eli~"Hello Zach" DELETE.

Too formal.

Eli"Hey Zach"

PERFECT.

Okay, so I'm continuing on my text and I'm trying to make it sound as cool as possible.

Eli~ "I just wanted to say that the conversation we had was everything I could've asked for. Thank you for that. Oh, and I'm coming to visit you this Summer. My flight's all booked and I'm coming with my friend. Hope to hear from you soon"

That should do the trick.

Now, to wait for his reply....

I get a ping from my phone only 10 MINUTES LATER. I check my phone and sure enough, Zach's name is there.

YES. I KNEW IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO TEXT HIM.

My insides feel all funny and I'm smiling again.

Zach fucking Herron has noticed me again and he's texting ME personally. Omg.

Although, I lied to him about the visiting part...

Zach~"It was sweet to speak with you too. I'm really busy right now, so sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. You sure? My manageament hasn't said anything to me..."
Eli~"Yes, I'm coming up. And that's odd, because my Mum arranged for me to come up. I'm staying at my uncle's house. He's rich as heck, so he can afford a house in LA"
