At around 2:30pm, the boys go back to rehearsing. I feel really, really awkward because of Zach's presence. But he seems to have recovered and the guys give quizzical looks before continuing to rehearse.
It doesn't have quite the same effect as before, so Sara suggests we go and sit in the kitchen, where there's a fan and food instead.
Perfect combo.
And the perfect excuse to get away from the rehearsal.
Even though I can still hear it.
I gulp and slightly shudder but just engross in my conversation with Sara instead.
•3.30pm•
The boys are back from their solid hour rehearsal. Sara and I have been talking for the last hour bur decided on the last ten minutes to go back to the chilling room.
I didn't want to leave the coolness and the cookies in the kitchen but Sara told be that seeing Zach the sooner would be better.
They walk in, drenched in sweat.
They each put out their ear pieces and they hug each other in an excited manner, although I can still sense some awkwardness between Zach and Jack as they're both trying not to touch.
Ouch, I made it super awkward between them.
It hurts to watch.
The other guys seems to not have noticed and they're teasing Zach for his angriness earlier.
He just tells the guy to shut up, in a more than friendly way, which makes me wonder- did performing take his mind off what happened?
I mean, it's awkward between Jack and him, sure.
But surely performing made him happier. He's doing what he loves and not a single person can tell him otherwise.
The guys turn to us and ask for hugs.
"Ew, no thanks. You guys reek!" Sara squeals, as she backs away from Daniel who's 'first in line.'
"Same to me, I don't want your smelly hugs!" I answer back, as Corbyn is nearer to me.
"Suit yourselves!" Jonah teasingly says and proceeds to put out his ear piece fully.
Before they change out of their outfits, Jack yells for a quick 'just finished practice' Snapchat.
But of course, knowing them, they do a silly one.
I try and hug myself into the couch before they film, not wanting to be seen.
Although as soon as they hit record, I shuffle over a bit. Acting as an impulse, desperate to just have a better view I guess.
I assume I'm not in the shot as I can't see the phone screen properly.
So I should be safe.
I try and muffle my laugh with my hand but I can't help but laugh harshly, out loud as what the guys is doing is quite funny.
They're screaming at the top of their lungs 'finished practice' and singing some of the songs but they're all acting stupid and they're begging for a kiss from each other.
"COME HERE JACKYWACKY!"
"WE. FINISHED. PRACTICE! WHO WANTS A KISS?"
"RUNAWAY, RUNAWAY, RUNNER."
"OI, GIMME A KISS!"
"I LOVE YOU GUYS! THAT'S WHAT 'WE'RE' MADE FOR!"
