Today at school John seems down and cranky. I try to cheer him up but nothing works. I consult Sam and dean who both have no idea why he is sad. I wonder what it could be. Everything seemed fine Monday. I don't know what could have happened. At lunch I take him to the roof and ask" What's wrong j is it something I did or said?" He shakes his head no. Then he says " it's nothing you did I'm just down on myself for not saving my family." I am confused I say," what happened to your family?" He catches himself and says" it's fine we'll talk later."
      I don't talk to j for days unless he talks to me. He has been moping for the last week. Finally one day after school on Friday I say"hey no more moping you are coming to have dinner with me and my parents and you can't say no." He smiles and says"i love your determination to get me to come. Fine what time?" I say"how about now? You get to ride home with me." He smiles and nods. I say" hi Alfred, John will be riding with us today." John and I get in the car and the whole way to my house he seems calm. We get there and I walk in and yell"mom dad I'm home and I brought a guest." I hear movement then I hear the clock click closed. I take John to my room and we work on our calculus homework. Then someone knocks at my door and says"dinner time miss Wayne and mr Napier. We go down to dinner completely ready for all the questions they ask. I take a deep breath then go in the room.
