Chaeyoung's POV

"Hey isn't that guy kind of cute?" Lisa whispered to me, her gaze fixed upon a young man with chocolate brown hair who was working in front of the cash register.

I nudged her side, narrowing my eyes, "Yah!  You have a boyfriend already, you can't be checking out other guys!"  I blushed profusely, "Actually, that guy's the one I've been telling you about.  You know- the cute guy that sits in front of me during chemistry."

Lisa looked at me, an expression of mischief forming.  I began to shake my head rigorously, "Oh no, we're not doing that again- Nope, that face isn't going to work" I felt myself beginning to lose against her puppy face, and I sighed, "Aish, I hate you."

Lisa giggled in victory, "Now, now Chaeyoung, hate is a strong word."

I buried my face within my hands, regretting my life choices, "Ugh, okay,  what's the plan?" I asked weakly, my voice muffled.

My best friend's hands grasped my arms, her body leaning closer from the other side of the table to whisper, "I want you to take a picture of him."

It took me a few moments to understand what she had just said, and I pulled back from her, my face shocked, "What?  That's going to make me seem like a stalker!"  I knew Lisa was someone who thought of crazy ideas, but this was new.  I didn't know she had it in her to suggest something like this, "Besides, he doesn't even know me.  If he knew me, that'd be different, but I'm a total stranger!" I whispered.

But Lisa just winked, a knowing glint twinkling from her eyes, "Come on Chae, just trust me on this.  You'll thank me later."  She leaned back on the booth, crossing her arms.

"If this doesn't work, you're paying." I said reluctantly, taking out my phone from my purse.

"And if it works, you're paying." She replied competitively.

I unlocked my phone, and tapped on the camera app, "Alright, here goes nothing...." I muttered, tapping the capture button.  To my surprise, a bright flash emitted from the camera, causing the young man to look towards my direction.

I hastily shoved my phone in my purse, my heart racing, "Lisa!  What did you do?"  I whispered, my eyes wide.

"This is why you don't trust me with your phone," she teased, looking behind her, "besides, it worked, he's heading this way."

I glanced forward, and true to her word, the young man was heading towards our direction.  My hands were clammy from sweat, and my heart beat raced even faster.

I stared at Lisa, my eyes begging for help, but she just smiled back at me.  What a great friend.

The young man stopped at our table and leaned down to whisper something to Lisa.  She nodded and got up, "Well, have fun Chae!"  She flashed a smirk before getting up from seat to leave.

"Lisa, wait you tra- hi," I stammered nervously, stopping midsentence as the young man took Lisa's spot, "totally didn't see you there."  I added, but I immediately wanted to take it back.

The young man only smiled before replying, "Hi, girl from my chemistry class."

I gaped in shock, surprised that he knew me, but I coughed and said, "Yeah, um, sorry about earlier.  My friend did that."  There was an awkward atmosphere emitting around us, and I played with my fingers nervously, feeling my cheeks burn in embarrassment.

"Actually, it was me that asked for her to do that," he said, scratching the back of his neck, "I mean, not the camera flashing thing, but a way to set up a 'coincidental' meeting between us."  He was looking at the napkin in front of him, apparently very interested on its anatomy.

"Oh- um, that's cool- I mean, what?"  I fumbled with my words, cursing myself for being so timid, "You asked her to do that?"  I asked, now also finding the napkin in front of me intriguing.

He nodded, "Your friend is dating my best friend, so I asked Taehyung to ask her, and then- yeah, this happened."  He was stammering like me, but instead of sounding like a dying fish, like I did, his stammering sounded quite adorable.

"Wait, so does that mean-" I gestured to myself, hoping he understood my sign language.

He nodded, red beginning to form around his ears, "I've been meaning to tell you, but- I was- I'm just not good with girls."  He admitted, glancing up from the napkin, but immediately went back to staring at it when he met my gaze.

"Well uh-" I started, "I guess the feelings mutual?"  He looked up, his mouth wide open in shock, but then his eyes crinkled as the biggest grin made itself to his face, "oh my gosh, that's adorable."  I whispered under my breathe, covering my mouth when I realized what I just uttered, "Please tell me you just didn't hear that."

He chuckled, causing my cheeks to burn even more, if that was even possible, "Don't worry, your secrets safe with me." He said, imitating a zipper across his lips.

I looked over his shoulder, glancing at the register, "Shouldn't you be working?  I mean, not that I mind you being here- I just didn't want to interrupt you." I quickly added, not wanting to offend him.

"Don't worry, Taehyung took over for me today," he said, "besides, I wanted to talk more with you."

We ended up talking through the resr of the night: discussing our interests, how much we both hated avocados (I was happy that he shared my hatred for avocados), and how mangoes were the superior fruit.

"Hey lovebirds, its closing time!" Taehyung yelled teasingly from the cashier, interruping our conversation on how mangoes should be the king of the fruits, and not durian.

I blushed at the statement, glancing down at my phone.

It was nearing midnight now, and grudgingly, I stood up from the booth, rubbing my butt.  Guess who's going to be sore tomorrow?  This gal!  Yay.... I thought sarcastically.

"I'm going to go pay, Lisa ditched me after all." I told Jungkook (I had learned his name throughout our conversation), but he grabbed my arm before I could go any further.

"No let me.  It's a token of appreciation," he said, "because next time we're going to an expensive restaurant and you're going to pay- just kidding."  He added, chuckling before getting up.

I blushed at his attempt of flirting, and before I could react, Jungkook had kissed the side of my cheek, blushing after he pulled away, "I've been wanting to do that for the longest time Chaeyoung.  I don't know if you've ever noticed, but I always glanced your way during lunch.  I always felt energized whenever I saw you smiling and being happy."

I felt like a tomato now.  Truth be told, I had always felt his gazes at our lunch table, but I had thought he was staring at the mangoes I always brought to lunch.
