Jungkook's POV

I groan at the sound of a bell. Beside me, there is an absence of a body. I glance at the clock on the bedside table, sighing when I read 12:37 AM. What is she doing this late? I attempt to get up, the bed creaking under my weight, but I end up meeting the comfort of the blanket once again.  My body didn't want to get up, but unfortunately my heart wants to see her.  Attempting to get up again, this time succeeding, I yawn, rubbing my eyes to get rid of the crusts forming.

My foot meets the carpeted floor as I drag myself to the door.  I wanted a hardwood floor, but apparently I fall off the bed while sleeping according to my wife.  She says it's for my safety.  I told her she could just hold on to me to prevent that, but according to her, I'm too heavy.  I scratch my head at the memory.  She won the argument, but man the idea of a hardwood floor is still very appealing.

Sighing, I exit the bedroom.  Rubbing my left arm, I tip toe my way to the beginning of the banister, grasping the smooth wood to look down.  There she stood, humming some nursery rhyme, while smushing a dark brown substance.  I laugh quietly under my breathe.  She's so adorable.  I cautiously make my way downstairs, making sure to avoid stairs that would give away my location.

I reach the ground floor successfully, not making any noise- or so I thought.  My nose begins to itch, and I hold my breathe to prevent the slip of a sneeze.  The trick usually works, but unfortunately, not this time.  The dark brown haired beauty stops what she was doing, letting out a little squeak in the process, and turned around to my direction.  I give her a little wave.

"Didn't see you there," I joke.

She places a hand on her chest, taking in deep breathes, "Aish, you scared the crap out of me Jungkook."

I showcase my infamous bunny smile, "Sorry, I didn't mean to."

Shaking her head, she resumes her previous task, her back facing me once again, "Did I wake you up?"

I walk towards her, wrapping my arms around her waist once I was physically close.  "You could say that," I whisper into her right ear.

She shudders with the sudden contact, her ears turning a light pink hue.  She stops what she was doing once again, and places both of her hands on top of my arms, drawing small circles.  "How do you still manage to make me so nervous around you?" She whispers under her breathe.

"I can say the same thing to you." I whisper back, placing my chin on top of her head. "Say, what were you doing this late?" I ask, finally examining the scene before me. It was a mess to say the least. Bowls full of flour were scattered, kitchen utensils everywhere.

She shifts a little in my arms, "I, um," she stutters, "was making breakfast!" She pauses, nodding, "yeah, I was making breakfast!" She announces, louder this time.

"Yah, we've been together for 6 months, and dated 2 years, I can see through you now," I pout, offended.

She attemps to escape from my embrace, trying to push her way out with her arms, but to no avail.  I end up pulling her closer to my chest.  She sighs, accepting defeat.  "Can I just say that it's a surprise?"

I stand there, raising my right index finger to my mouth, pretending to take it into consideration.  That small action was all she needed.  She pushes away my remaining arm, successfully escaping my embrace.  She then sprints to the living room, giggling like a child.
