A New Beginning

Its been 2 months since Tutty passed away. Mels and Ronnie now live together and their wedding is quickly approaching. Mels is out with her friends Aury and Fran looking for the wedding dress of her dreams.

Mels: "Alright I'll just go look at some dresses and I'll try the ones I like best"

Aury: "Alright girl. Make sure to show us"

Fran: "Duh, she HAS to show us"

Mels enters the changing room and tries a slim off-white dress.

Fran: "uh...next one please"

Mels: "Yeah I don't like it either"

She changes into a mermaid style dress with pearls around the waist in a flowy pattern.

Aury: "I don't know about this one eather. Try an open dress."

Fran: "Yeah! You'll look like a princess"

Mels: "There's two more dresses to try still"

She then changes into a beautiful white dress.

Mels walks out exposing a figure her friends didn't know she had. They both just stood there, staring, mouths wide open.

Fran: "WOW"

Aury: "Gosh you look gorgeous!"

Mels: "I think this is the one"

Fran: "For sure."

Mels: "Alright then I'm getting this one!"

Mels and Aury went to pay the dress while Fran was getting the car.

Later that day...

The girls finished shopping for some wedding materials and dropped Mels off at her house where Ronnie was anxiously waiting for her.

Ronnie: "Thank goodness you're home!"

Mels: "Well aren't you glad!?"

Ronnie: "Babe I missed you so much"

Mels: "I was only out for a few hours...are you ok?"

Ronnie grabs Mels by the hand, pulls her in close, hugs her tightly then starts crying. Mels  stands still in shock. She doesn't know what to do or what's going on.

Mels: "Ron what happened? Why are you crying?"

Ronnie: "There's something I haven't told you yet and I think you should know..."

Mels: "I should know what? Ron you're scaring me, tell me already PLEASE!"

Ronnie: "Well, I have a 3 year old daughter"

Mels just stared at him in amazement and confusion. "Why do you tell me this now?" she said at the verge of tears.

Ronnie: "Babe we are getting married, you need to know about this."

Mels: "have you been visiting her?"

Ronnie: "I have to. She's sick"

Mels: "What do you mean, she's sick?"

Ronnie: "She's in the hospital, its been almost a year now."

Mels: "Aww Boo, I'm sorry"

Ronnie: "It's all my fault. I shouldn't have done anything with her, we weren't ready for what was coming. I was irresponsible and immature. Now thanks to me there's an innocent little girl in the hospital, sick, in pain, and she's suffering so much. I don't know what to do Babe. You bring so much happiness into my life. That's why I proposed to you. There's a purpose to my proposal.

Mels: "What is it?"

Ronnie: "That I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life next you. Wake up to your gorgeous face and have you wrapped in my arms. I want to make you happy. I want us to have a future. A home and a family."

Mels: "Baby you mean the world to me. I appreciate that you told me about your daughter. Thank you for telling me how you feel. It means so much to me. I love you!"

Ronnie had been flirting with his daughter's mom when he was dating Mels and she had found about it. That was the time they had a big fight and almost broke up. He didn't tell her about his daughter till now because he was afraid he was going to lose the love of his life...
