Harry looked up at the face smiling down at him. He hadn’t changed one bit from the day they’d met. His mind was flooded with thoughts of that day at the park. The first day the two had met, when they had been introduced to each other by their fathers.
Chapter 9B
Harry sighed as he set the phone down on the counter. Simon had told him that Louis had been worrying about him, he kept asking producers where the younger boy was, claiming he was his responsibility. The older lad wouldn’t listen to anyone, except maybe Harry. That’s why he called, Louis needed to calm down and go to bed. They could deal with this tomorrow.
“Harry?” a gruff and familiar voice called from the kitchen.
“Hello Simon I called him. I told him to go to sleep. Hopefully he listens.” Harry walked slowly towards the kitchen, “I just don’t know Simon. Why would he say that?”
“He’s only 17 Harry. You’re even younger than him. You should know people make mistakes. It also wouldn’t be a very good time to share the newsout.” Simon pointed out.
“Well, I guess you’re right. I just don’t know what to do now. He’s probably pissed at me for running off.” Harry mumbled, taking a seat at the island.
“He’s actually more worried than anything. You should have seen him. I’ve never seen a teenage boy more frantic. He kept talking about how Anne was going to kill him.” The mentor told the young boy.
“Why would my Mom be mad at him?” The curly haired boy set his head in his hands.
“I don’t know. Why don’t you ask him? I think it’s time for you to go back anyways Harry.” Simon pulled his phone out, instructing a driver to come and pick the boy up.
“I still don’t know what to do Simon! He’s going to be so mad at me.” Harry whined.
“I doubt that Harry. Just go back to the house, and get some sleep. Tomorrow will be a big day for you guys.” Simon told the boy as he ascended the stairs.
“Fine.” Harry mumbled, walking towards the front door where a car horn was heard.
Harry climbed in the back seat of the car and watched the streetlights whiz by. He yawned and leaned his head against the window, but before he could doze off the car came to a stop outside the contestants’ house. Harry thanked the driver and stepped out of the car. As he was climbing up the steps a thought crossed his mind, why had he run away in the first place? If he had been in Louis’ shoes, he would have done the same thing. Harry opened the front door and slid off his shoes. It was quiet, but what else would you expect at four in the morning?
He climbed the stairs, quietly making his way down the hallway he stopped at the door that read, “One Direction”. He lightly turned the handle as it was notorious for squeaking and he didn’t want to wake any of the other boys. Harry successfully slipped into the room and shed his clothes. He spotted Louis sound asleep on their bed; smiling Harry lifted the covers and slipped in beside him.
A large arm slipped over his waist and pulled him closer to the heat that was Louis. Harry sighed in content and mumbled an apology.
“Just go to sleep Haz. We’ll talk tomorrow. Love you.” Louis whispered into the curly hair.
“I love you too Lou. Love you too.”
