Chapter 2 - The Bakery

It had been yet another hard-working day, and Adrien waited for Marinette at the school steps.

Eventually, Marinette fled down the steps, and stood nervously beside him. "H-hi, A-Adrien," she stuttered.

"Hi, Marinette," Adrien said.

"S-shall w-we g-go?" She stuttered.

"Sure."

Ten minutes later, Marinette and Adrien arrived at the bakery. Marinette quickly explained to her Mum that she was unable to cook with her today, as she had a project from school. Her mum nodded and allowed her to go upstairs to start the project.

Marinette laid out a large piece of paper, and wrote "Ladybug and Chat Noir" on the top in big, swirly letters.

"Do you want to work on Chat - I mean, Chat Noir - while I work on Ladybug?" Marinette asked.

"Sure." Adrien agreed.

"My laptop's there, if you need the Ladyblog to help you out."

"OK." Adrien said. Secretly, however, Adrien obviously knew everything about Chat Noir.

Because he was Chat Noir.

Chat scribbled all he knew about his alter ego, from his love of Ladybug to his (in Adrien's opinion) flawless puns. Marinette scribbled all she knew about Ladybug, from her ability to catch akumas to her likeliness of Adrien Agreste.

Strangely, Adrien thought to himself, she hasn't looked at the Ladyblog once.

When Adrien asked, Marinette hurriedly told him that she'd "looked on the Ladyblog the night before". Adrien wasn't one to be particularly nosy, so he didn't bother to find out why Marinette knew so much about his purrrincess (see what I did there? 😂) .

Their written essay was done that afternoon. Next they had to make superhero models of Ladybug and Chat Noir.

Marinette and Adrien styled their's in such a way that they looked exactly like large figurines. That was done over the course of two and a half weeks to complete.

It was near the end of the project, and Marinette had decided to make a comic titled "Miraculous: Tales Of Ladybug And Chat Noir".

Over the course of a month, she had noted every Akuma attack that she and Chat Noir had experienced. Completed with pictures, it was rather in the form of a graphic novel. She had near completed it when her mum gave her some terrible news...
