Beyond the black lights

Chapter 23

By walking away, I couldn't think, couldn't breathe as if someone was running after me. I kept walking away, asking myself several questions; Am I a fool? Am I someone who don't deserve to be here? What have I done? And what I've done was nothing, I know. Then I returned back to the hotel, direct to the room, there I found the girls sleeping but not Dana. I charged my mobile and went to my bed yet I couldn't sleep I got a paper-pen and I started writing a letter...

Dear Aamir,

I really miss you! Why you stopped sending me letters... I wish you are here now next to me. It's the end of the month, I can't wait for another two months.

-I put it under the pillow and slept-  next day, I woke up earlier than anyone, made a coffee and stared at the sun for a while then I went for a walk. It was 6 o'clock all were sleeping. I didn't find Dana at her bed, I assumed that she woke up earlier than me. *Where will this messy girl be?* I took out my mobile to call her. I called her but she didn't answer me. After the 4th time eventually she did. I asked her where she is since I feel worry about her. She told me that she is okay but her voice wasn't okay at all. I asked her again where is she. Few minutes later, I realized that she's at a night club. I quickly went to her, there I found guys around her, who were all drunk. They were all laughing in a scary way. I took her away to the bathroom to wash her face. She refused saying that *I have to go and she's okay*

I shouted at her then grabbed her by force to the bathroom and washed her face. We went both of us out of that dirty place to a place where we can drink a coffee. We spent the first few minutes silent, no one talked then I asked her where she was yesterday all night. she replied that she wanted to enjoy her time and have some fun since she felt so bored. I asked her if anything was wrong. She said no! I wondered if she was lying to me yet I tried believing her. Then I looked to her and was hesitated asking her about Ali but then I made it and asked her about him...

She looked at me saying that she thought that we were together since we are always together. Here, I started recognizing something. After that we returned back to the hotel at 11 o'clock, all were awake. They decided to pack up their bags so as to visit another place -Two days from now I am supposed to go watching the surf competition, I didn't know what to do since I can't leave my friends we came together we have to go together- I packed my bag and I was ready to go.

Two hours ago, we were all ready we stopped to take a cap and Ali was standing out there.  I couldn't make an eye-contact neither could he. We've taken two caps, I was at one and Ali was at the other -Actually, being in two separate cars helped a lot- I put my headphones and began to enjoy the scenes on the way. It took us 4 hours I think to reach that place, they decided to stay there for some time. We rent a big house with a pool and there everyone had his/her own room. I put my bag inside the room then I went out to sit with them in the garden. They were all talking to me except for Ali who wasn't there. When Tamara went to see him she found him sleeping. Tamara told us that she has never seen him like that. She thought he's sick and she tried to help yet failed.

Tamara & I decided to bake a cake for them especially for Ali who loves cake in order to get him out of that creepy zone in addition to Youssef & Lina who will cook for us as well. Tamara delivered a piece of cake to Ali but he refused taking it saying he's okay and he's not hungry at that moment -Ali wasn't again with us- I needed to ask about him but I couldn't. We ate dinner and then the cake. Later, Youssef went to wake Ali up but he didn't want to eat as well. At night, they said they will go to watch a movie, I was thinking about Ali and how I am the reason of letting him feel that way.  We actually went to the cinema without Ali again...

After watching the film, we returned back home at 12 o'clock. All went to sleep and I went to my room. I took out my mobile just to text Ali but what I found was our messages, I kept reading it, feeling that I was stupid enough to understand his feelings. *I never thought about it like that because Ali, I and all know that Aamir can't be replaced* I quickly left the mobile and went out to the balcony just to smell some fresh air. All what I was thinking of was that (I was so stupid). After a moment I heard a sound. What a beautiful sound but from where it came! I kept following the sound till I found that it came from Ali's room...
