Chapter 28

4 days passed without talking to anyone even Ali. I reserved a small room in a motel where I refused meeting any of them even Aamir who didn't know where I am. I didn't know that the person who made me see the dark lights, made me blind now. Who once was the controller of both my heart and brain, killed my feelings.

On the 5th day I was moved to the hospital because I wasn't eating and I became ill. There, my cousin and friends came to visit me. Later, Ali came to talk to me he said that Aamir is waiting outside but he can't come in, he's afraid something bad happens to me. I laughed ironically. Ali then continued saying that I must listen to the truth in addition Aamir didn't hurt me as I thought, he has no hand in it and what happened was all Dana's fault. He gave me a box full of letters then he told me that I have to forgive him after that he went out.

Ali came out, Aamir got in. He looked at me as if he wanted to say a lot of things in one word. I saw him, I remembered everything happened those passed years. I wanted to hug him telling him how much he was missed but then I stopped and remembered how cruel he betrayed our love. I gave him the chance to tell me the truth that I needed to hear.

-The Truth behind what happened-

He said that he was always sending me letters that I send nothing back to him. He was always waiting for my respond yet he never got it. He added he never lost hope, he never stopped sending, however, he didn't receive any letters from me. Then he completed saying, the day he came here, he kept searching for me till he found that girl *Dana* who told him that she is my friend and that I am the one who sent her to him since she lives near the hotel and when he asked about me she said that there is an accident on the road that will last for hours. so, they went to the hotel and by reaching the hotel, Dana reserved a room for him just to take a nap. Aamir thanked her but she refused to leave him. So, he told her that he will go eat something and when he returned back to the room he found a mess in the room. After then, he knew the truth yet he couldn't reach me because my mobile was off all the time and I wasn't at home.

I narrated to him everything and what I've seen at that day, and the letters that I also wrote and received nothing in return. Few minutes later, I received a letter who was from Dana. She said everything in the letter and she requested if I can accept her apology.

Dear Ayla

I never thought it will turn to be like that, I don't know why I betrayed you but I felt jealous. Because every time I don't think about it, I see you and Ali laughing, talking. I know that Ali loved you so much, I heard him saying it to you that day when he left you and you walked away, those days when he refused to sit with us! I knew everything yet I kept silent. But you don't know how much I love him, he was everything to me. He never showed any care, love to me as he showed to you. I thought this will be the only way to make you feel what I felt. But the truth is ... Aamir has no hand in what happened you must believe him. He loves you so much. I'm the one who was receiving all his letters and I was the one who refrained your letters to reach him as every night I go to your home, and take the letter you send to him. At that day, Aamir refused to come in when I told him we will wait for her, he went to eat something and I took the chance to ruin you. I grabbed his mobile and sent you that message but again he loves you and he has no hands in what happened. Don't ever think that this made me happy? Never. I know that I lost you forever despite your pure soul, but I'm not that bad, believe me!!! I don't know what to do to make you forgive me, I am more than sorry. I am more than that ...

Dana

Reading the letter, I cut it into pieces knowing that it may take so many years to think about forgiving such a human who I once called her a friend that turned to be betraying this friendship. Well, I was taught to forgive and forget but this time was different. Should I forgive Dana and forget about what she has done?
