Beyond the black lights

Chapter 6

Months passed...

I realized there was something wrong with Aamir. His smile was almost gone day after day. He kept silent for a long time yet I tried more than once to know what was happening? Was it something related to his life and problems related to it or what? But the answer was always "I'm fine". He began to return back home late, ignoring my calls as well. I didn't know what was wrong with him? Yet tried but failed.

One day I woke up early, I couldn't sleep. So, I called him. His mobile was not available. I began to make my calls but reached no answer. Where are you Aamir? I went to his home, nobody was there. So, I returned back home, locked my room after that I remembered everything then I got disappointed. I didn't even bare sitting at home so I took the car and kept on moving till I remembered something?! Quickly I changed my path and directed myself to a certain way... The place where Aamir has mentioned before. After a while, I reached the place and yeah I found him lying beneath the tree.

I said: Aamir!!! Why are you acting awkwardly? You are hiding something, aren't you? Aamir, say what is going on? (shouting at him)

-giving me his back, didn't utter a word-

I held his hand, it was cold. Moved his face and looked at him, he was too pale and his eyes were red. This time was different. I was hesitated and I didn't know what should be done? 

So I said: Aamir you must go to the hospital! Let me take you.

Then he replied: Ayla, take me home. I'm fine!

He stood up then suddenly fell down.

I shouted: Aamir, don't be stubborn let me take you for God's sake.

-He insisted on not going anywhere and that he was fine-

He was so stubborn so I took him to my home, I made lunch to him then left him to take a nap. After 2 hours. I went to check if he needs anything but I found him still sleeping while going out slowly, he called me: Ayla. I went to him asking: What happened? Why are you hiding something from me? This is not the one whom I used to know well.

He said: Nothing. I'm fine!

I replied angrily: stop lying you Aamir!

He said with a loud voice: I said nothing, Ayla. Believe or not it's up to you!

I looked away saying: okay Aamir as you wish.

While getting out of the room, he called me but I ignored him. He tried to stand up but he couldn't, he fell on the floor. While looking back, I found him lying on the floor, i couldn't handle this so, i ran back to him. What are you doing? You need to have some rest. He said: I swear i'm fine now. I need to go back home I said: Nope, you are not okay! let me take you to the hospital He then said: do you want to exhaust me? take me home please, i know by tomorrow everything will be fine. This actually happens to me from time to time, I take the medicine and feel better.

I took him back home then he gave me a warm smile after that I left. Next day, everything was much better. Two days later, Aamir returned to be the one I used to know, our laughs and smiles returned as well. Day after day, I discovered things new about Aamir, things like he was emotionally attached to his gone mother, he was totally affected by her death. Also, he specifies a time once per week to visit orphans and help homeless people. I truly liked this about him...

Aamir changed my life, I loved him truly. He is the first one who has attracted me strongly yet I didn't reveal this secret. Since we are best friends and I don't want to break this bond. I wish I could have the strength to do such a thing but i am afraid to lose my first lover. so, i preferred silence.
