Did he just say he liked me? Isabella thought to herself. As an employee of course. This is perfect, a new home, new job, a new life. I can finally start over without Ian. This is what i needed. Thank you God, I owe you one big guy.
"Hello, Isabella did you hear me?" Dax asked
"Oh I'm sorry Mr. Walker what did you say?"
"Please, call me Dax, and when would you like to pick up your belongings?"
"Um now would be perfect." Because Ian isn't there of course.
"Well i suppose we should take off." Dax replied
They exited the restaurant. Isabella gave Dax the directions to her home. Well it really wasn't her home. It felt like a jail to her, and she was Ian's prisoner. While Dax drove, Dylan played with his toy airplane in the backseat.
When they arrived Isabella took in a deep breath. The was the start of a new beginning for her.
"I'll be out as soon as possible I just need to pack some clothes. My um... roommate doesn't know I'm leaving so i need to write a letter saying good bye." Isabella explained
"Oh Bell I'd hate for you to leave without your roommate knowing."
Did he just call me 'Bell'?
"It's fine really, they knew it was going to happen eventually."
After that Isabella made her way into the house. She got some suitcases out of the closet and began to pack up her belongings. All she needed was her clothes, shoes, purses, makeup, toothbrush, jewellery, her diary, and her dignity...well the little that she had left. After she had all of her things packed she found a pen and paper to write a letter to Ian. She wouldn't leave without letting him know how she felt.
Dear Ian,
I've played this moment over and over again in my head. Today is the day I can finally rid myself of you. After all the beatings, broken bones, an heartache I am finally leaving. I want to say i hate you, but I don't... I pity you Ian Goldberg. But I'm a stronger woman now than I ever was before.
Go fuck yourself Ian, Isabella
She smiled at this new confidence she had found. She sat the letter on the bed. She grabbed her bags and headed out the door. Isabella could finally be happy.
"Oh Bell let me get these bags for you!" Dax said
"It's fine."
"No," Dax insisted "What kind of man would I be if I didn't help a lady carry her luggage."
Isabella just smiled and handed him the bags.
Once all of the bags were in the back they took off to Dax's house, well mansion. It was the biggest home Isabella had ever seen. Dax ran to the passenger's side of the car to open the door for Isabella, he also unbuckled her seat belt.
"You Mr. Wal-...Dax," Isabella corrected herself. "I'm very capable of doing that myself."
"I know." Dax replied with a wink. After he helped Isabella out of the car he went to get Dylan out.
"Daddy do I get cobbee now?" Dylan asked
" Coffee?" Dax looked confused
"Yup," Dylan said popping the 'p'. "Gran give me cobbee after I eat lunch."
