A few minutes later Isabella walked in the front door. Her eyes searched the room and she noticed nothing looked the same. The whole entire room had been destroyed.
"Dax. What- what did you do?" Isabella asked in a shocked voice
Dax ran towards Isabella with tears still in his eyes. He fell to the floor and wrapped his arms around her legs. She placed her hands on his head to calm him.
"I'm so sorry Bella. Please don't leave"
"Dax." Isabella called.
"Baby, please don't leave us." Dax continued to ramble on.
"Dax." Isabella said a little louder.
"I should've told you, but I will explain it all, just please don't go."
"Dax!" Isabella yelled pulling his chin up so she could look him in the eyes. "I'm not leaving, I just stepped outside to clear my head." She said as she sat down on the floor in front of him.
"I'm so sorry, but you don't understand," Dax said holding her hand in his. "Yes, I was suppose to give you a job at my firm that is what Mr. Rey asked me to do. When I bumped into you that day I instantly knew I'd fall in love. I do not date my employees at the firm, that rule has been in place since I gained ownership. If you had worked at the firm I wouldn't have gotten the chance to fall in love with you. So I couldn't give you the job, I know it was selfish, but I don't regret it Isabella."
"I never thought of it that way, but Dax for a long time the only thing I could call mine was my job. I didn't have a house, a car, or a family of my own. All I had in this world to be proud of was my job. Ian forced me to quit, so I sat in the house everyday applying for jobs, waiting for calls, and never got any. When you asked me to be your nanny I wasn't so sure, but you offered me enough money that I knew I'd be back on my feet in no time. Then I fell in love and none of that mattered anymore, but you have to understand how hard it was hearing this from Melanie." Isabella explained.
"What?" Dax asked.
"Melanie told me the day you were admitted into the hospital."
"Melanie told you this?"
"Yes, but I don't see why that is important." Isabella was confused.
Dax sat there for a few seconds, then he finally spoke. "It's not. Will you please forgive me Isabella?" Dax asked.
"Of course." Isabella said tracing the scar he had on his chest.
Dax grabbed her hand and planted a small kiss on it. Then he held her hand close to his heart.
"Good thing we haven't put the Christmas tree up or you would've broken that too." Isabella said smiling.
"We should put it up when Dylan comes back." Dax chuckled.
"Did you really think I was going to leave?" Isabella asked changing the subject.
"Yes." Dax said hanging his head.
"I'm not going anywhere." Isabella assured him.
The next day Dax, Isabella, and Dylan all went out to buy a Christmas tree. They put the enormous tree up that night and marveled at it.
"I think I'll wrap the gifts tonight." Dax said as he and Isabella walked up the stairs.
"You brought gifts already?" Isabella asked.
"Of course, I'm not a last minute shopper."
Isabella was.
"Where are they?"
