[34] Wedding Day Part 2 [34]

Chapter 34 

Vanessa POV: 

''Mrs. Parker may I have this dance?'' Jake asked Amanda

''I could get used to being called that," Amanda whispered to me with a wink.

I chuckled and watched as Amanda gladly accepted Jake's outstretched hand. 

 ''Have fun lovebirds," I teased them 

Amanda blushed as Jake pulled her to the dance floor. I smiled as I watched Amanda wrap her arms around Jake's neck while he placed his hands on her waist. I was so overjoyed for my sister, after all she's been talking and planning for this day ever since the proposal. I grabbed my apple cider and took a sip. As I set my glass down on the table a warm hand covered my eyes. 

''Guess who?'' someone asked in a fake American accent .

''Calum?'' I guessed. 

He took his hand off, and sat in the empty seat next to me. 

''How'd you know it was me?'' Calum pouted. 

I laughed.

''Lucky guess'' I replied with a shrug.

 ''Huh,'' Calum said. 

He wrapped his arm over my shoulder, and I felt butterflies erupt in my stomach. I sniffed his cologne, and sighed happily. 

''You smell good'' I blurted out.  

Calum chuckled, and pulled me closer to him. I rested my head on his chest, and flashed him a smile. 

Ana POV: 

Do my eyes deceive me or is Calum talking to Vanessa? I don't even remember inviting him to the wedding, and is it just me or does it look like they're flirting with each other? And most importantly how do they know each other?  

So many questions were rushing through my head, and I decided to go do some investigating, without  hesitation I made my way over to them.

''Where are you going babe?'' Niall asked. 

''To go talk to someone I know, I'll be back'' I replied. 

He nodded, and continued his conversation with Louis. 

As I got closer to their table I realized I was correct, it was Calum with Vanessa. They were laughing at a joke that Calum told, but their laughter quickly died down as I approached them. 

''Ana?'' Calum asked in confusion.

''Hey'' I greeted the two lovebirds.

''What are you doing here?'' Calum asked. 

''I could ask you the same question'' I replied

 ''Oh well anyways Ana this is-''  

''Vanessa, I know who she is,'' I interrupted  him.

''Nice to see you again Ana, I noticed you got the pie, and soda off of you'' Vanessa said, and smirked 

 My blood boiled at the reminder. 

Two could play at that game.

''And I noticed you finally accepted the fact that Niall, and I make a better couple than you two did,'' I replied, and gave her an innocent smile

 Calum POV: 

I sat their awkwardly while Vanessa, and Ana started bickering back, and forth to each other. After a while I finally got fed up with their arguing, and interrupted them. 

''That's enough'' I yelled

They both stopped, and looked at me.

 ''Calum I don't want you talking that thing,'' Ana hissed glaring at Vanessa. 

''She's not a thing Ana, she's a person, and I don't know how the hell you two know each other, but I think its best if you leave, you may be my older sister, but you can't tell me who I can, and can't talk to'' I snapped 

''Fine don't listen to me, but don't say I didn't warn you'' Ana said, and stormed away in anger

After Ana left, there was an awkward silence that filled the atmosphere.  

''Is Ana really your sister?'' Vanessa asked after a while 

''Yeah'' I replied

She nodded.

 ''To be honest I don't  like her'' Vanessa admitted.

I chuckled. 

''I noticed,'' I answered 

Another awkward silence, but this time I broke it. 

''Was there something that happened between you, and Niall?'' I asked

I immediately regretted asking, she looked away sadly, and I could tell she wanted to cry.

''I'm sorry I shouldn't have asked, you don't need to answer'' I rambled on

''No it's fine, and to answer your question yes'' Vanessa replied

''If you don't mind me asking, what happened?'' I asked 

''It's a long story'' Vanessa mumbled 

''I got time'' I said

She gave me a weak smile, and nodded.

Vanessa POV:

I told Calum everything, and when I say everything I literally mean it. I told him how Niall and I first met, Celebrity Assassinations, about my dad, Tom, the day my dad went to prison, what happened the day all of us went to the mall, Elena and her phone conversation I overheard, and how Niall reacted when I told him the truth, how I felt after the break up, the fight that Ana and I almost got into, and the list goes on.

 When I finally finished Calum stared at me in awe.  

 It felt nice to get that off my chest.

 ''Wow'' was all he said 

''You could write a book about all of that'' Calum added

I laughed.

''I'm serious it has all the things readers look for, romance, betrayal, sadness, heartbreak, action, mystery, jealousy,  and so much more'' Calum continued with enthusiasm  

He had an excited gleam in his eye, and I couldn't help, but notice how cute he looked when he was excited.
