A/N: Yes I did write this because I was inspired by Yuri on Ice and yes I do think Dan and Phil should try this irl.

Summary: just some straight up Yuri on Ice shit, what more could you want?

It was a good idea he'd said. It'll be fun he'd said.

Phil was sat on the edge of the frozen lake watching his boyfriend, trying not to look impressed. Dan who had somehow convinced him to come on this 'romantic' ice skating trip was an amazing skater. He glided across the ice gracefully, each step he took was carried out with precision and rhythm like it came naturally to him.

Phil on the other hand had given up after about half an hour. Everyone knew how clumsy he was, Dan had always teased him for it. He'd tried his best, he really had. He wanted to make Dan happy but he really couldn't get the hang of it.

Phil was watching the brown haired boy in awe. He sat on the bench at side of the rink sipping a coffee, he was so cold that he was exhaling a foggy mist and his numbed fingers struggled to grip his cup.

But wait, where had Dan gone? One minute he'd been there gliding across the ice, the next minute Phil had lost him in a sea of family's and tourists.

'Phil!' Dan grabbed Phil's shoulder causing him to nearly spill his coffee.
'D D, Dan' He stuttered half from shock half from the cold.
'Come on, Skate with me!'
Dan took Phil's hand and dragged him onto the ice before he could object.
'No, wait Dan I...' Phil slid all over the place, waving his arms to keep his balance. Dan was giggling.

'Hey, don't laugh! I'm going to fall!'

Phil leaned forward a little too much then, and before he knew it, he was indeed falling. Fear was present in his eyes and he appeared to be prepared for the worst...

Until Dan stepped in front of him and caught him with ease that is.

Phil didn't want to let go of Dan, he rested his head on Dan's shoulder.
'Come on, you've got this now, let's try again'
Dan was about to let go.
'No Dan I'm scared, you're so good at this and I...' Phil lifted his head looked into Dan's eyes, his arms still resting on his shoulders for balance.
'It's ok, I've got you' Dan smiled giving Phil a kiss on the cheek and then taking his hand.

They didn't half look strange, two fully grown men wrapped around eachother struggling to stay on their feet, everyone couldn't help but stare at them. They didn't care though, they carried on giggling and covering distance (very little distance, but distance none the less).

They had eventually managed to skate right to the edge of the lake.
'Hey Dan, I think I'm getting the hang if it!' Phil beamed proudly, he took one of his arms off Dan and steadied himself.
'Be careful phi...'

Phil's arms were flailing again, his feet were slipping all over the place, he grabbed hold of Dan who seemed to be very much struggling to stay up himself.

With the added weight of Phil, Dan couldn't stay up and both boys ended up in heap in the snow.
'I, I told you I couldn't do it' Phil sighed.
'Oh but you were doing good'
'Yeah until collapsed on top of you' Phil laughed, he had made no effort to get off of Dan.

'you'll get the hang of it' Dan looked up at Phil who he was awkwardly pinned under. He caught sight of his eyes as they glistened like icicles. 'But in the mean time'

Dan leaned into Phil's lips until they touched his own, he expected them to be cold and numb like his own but they weren't. They were warm and soft. The bitting melted snow surrounding them had started to seep into their clothes, but they didn't care. They wanted to be caught in this moment forever.

Snowflakes began to fall from the sky, dancing and twirling until they fell to the ground. Phil pulled away and looked down at Dan fondly.
'Can you get off me now? I'm freezing'
