The Way of Life (A Malec Fanfiction)

Are you mad?

Magnus doesn't know why he left. It just felt wrong. He knows he actually has to be there for Alec right now. But he's hurt, too. This is why he doesn't like to get too involved with each other. It never goes the right way.

Magnus has seen a lot of people and none of these realtionships went well. There was this one specific person, who broke his heart. He loved her too much and she took advantage of it. Magnus feels betrayed, even though he knows that this is not Alec's fault.

Next week Alec is going to marry this girl. Magnus knew Alec is a risk. But since the day they met, he has been attracted to this shy man, who became more confident with himself in this short of time. Magnus doesn't want it to end. Not like this.

He is at his home, sitting on the couch and petting his cat. He loved to be with Alec, he felt home there. But he missed his cat, though.

He hears the door ring and opens it. Before it stands Alec. "Come in."

When Alec realizes that Magnus left, he is about to leave, but his mother interrupts him. "Where are you going?"

Alec wants to know why he left, he wants to know if he's mad or if he just wanted to give them some space. "I'm going to my boyfriend." He says. His parents look at him in disbelief. "Yeah, you heard right. Magnus isn't just a friend, he's my boyfriend. And I care about him, a lot. And I won't marry that girl, I don't care what you say."

And he leaves.

Magnus has to admit, he is really surprised to see Alec. "What are you doing here? Don't you have a wedding to plan?" He regrets these words immediately. "Sorry."

"It's okay." Alec starts. He can't blame Magnus for this. But Magnus can't expect from Alec to explain this. He doesn't even know what is going on. "Can I come in?"

Magnus opens the door and steps aside for Alec to enter. "Why did you leave?" Alec asks him when they are in the living room. Alec sits down on the couch and Magnus makes himself a drink.

"I don't know." Magnus answers honestly. "A part of me wanted to stay and be by your side. The other part wanted to leave. I felt out of place. I'm honest with you. If you marry that girl, I don't know if I can be with you any longer. Even when I know that you don't have any feelings."

Alec is completely in shock. "Are you breaking up with me? Please don't. I don't want to marry her. I want to be with you." And to prove that, Alec runs over to Magnus, grabs him by the shirt and kisses him hard on the mouth.

Magnus doesn't move at first, but then he wraps his arms around Alec's neck and deepens the kiss. This boy makes him crazy. He opens his mouth a little bit and lets Alec's tongue in.

"Bedroom?" Magnus asks when Alec kisses his neck and starts to bite. Magnus twirls Alec's hair with his fingers and slides his other hand on Alec's back up and down.

They walk to the bedroom, not pulling away. Their tongues collide and they fight for dominance. When they enter the bedroom Magnus lays down on the bed and Alec crawls on top of him.

Alec and Magnus lay on the bed. "What time is it?" Alec asks after some time.

Magnus looks confused. "Why?" Alec looses the embrace.

"I have to go home. My parents are waiting for me."
