A few months had passed since Angie had come home. She taught Violetta regularly and had dinner with the family every night. Everyone seemed content.

Angie had just gone to the Studio to finish some paperwork. German squeezed Priscila's hand. The girls were home now. Both of them. In the last month, Priscila and Ludmila had moved in to the house.

They say it's a key part of the relationship when you move in together. Make or break. You might not like the way they leave their socks on the floor or the way they eat. Luckily, Priscilla did none of that. If she did, she was very discreet. Or just good at hiding. It was also important to make sure that you got along well with the children, which he did. Really well.

German and Priscila, together, called their daughters to sit down on the sofa. They wanted to tell them together. They didn't want to tell them separately and then leave them to themselves. That could end up in arguing. In the last two years, Ludmila and Violetta had not been the best of friends.

After the girls had sat down, they did too. The girls were starting to get restless. They had no idea what their parents were going to say. Hopefully it was good news. They secretly hoped that their families didn't have anymore hardship to go through. Some of the situations they had been in had been so awkward and difficult.

Priscila squeezed German's hand. They looked at each other. It was time. "Violetta."

"Ludmila."

The air was growing thinner, "We're going to celebrate our love."

Ludmila looked disgusted, "What, like a marriage?" She huffed.

Violetta wanted to look happy, but all she could muster was a glorified state of confusion. "Are you... engaged?"

Their parents didn't say anything. They didn't confirm or deny anything they had asked. German looked to Priscila and smiled. It was true, thought Violetta. He was in love with her.

They all rose to hug each other and celebrate the unbelievably quick progression of this relationship. At the end of the day, Ludmila and Violetta only wanted their parents to be happy.

As if a light bulb had turned on, Ludmila stopped. She looked horrified.

"What's wrong, darling?" Priscila seemed concerned, touching her daughter's arm.

She stepped further away from the little crowd before explaining her almost solemn, yet frightened expression, "If you're getting married... You know, to Violetta's dad..." They all looked at her, curious for what she as going to say next, "Wouldn't that make us.. You know.." They looked at her, waiting for her to spit it out, "Sisters?"

Their parents paused, like it was the first time they had ever considered this. "Yes it would. I suppose." Said Ludmila's mother.

"Only half sisters, though, technically." German chimed in.

Violetta's heart broke. The one person who didn't know about this was the one person who could stop this from happening. Her dad was getting engaged to a woman she had only met once and probably hated. Or maybe she liked her. No, you wouldn't like the guy's new woman!

She was going to have to tell Angie. It wouldn't be easy.
