Back in Laketown the master was muttering to himself and pacing his room back and forward. How dare that stranger disobey and mock him! He was the master, all heeded to his command. And no one , no one dare mock him. "How dare that stranger in green mock me!" He shouted to Alfrid. "Yes, how dare he." Alfrid said in agreement. "You don't deserve such treatment master." He said, pouring the master a cup of brandy which the master took from him and drank.
"I'll have his head should he show his face again." The master said bitterly, slamming his cup down on the table besides him. "It's worse enough with that Bard around, we don't need another trouble maker as well."
Alfrid shook his head in agreement. "What if Bard is in league with the green rogue?" He said, planting the idea into the master's head.
The master eyed Alfrid, a thoughtful look on his face. "I bet he is." He said, taking another sip of brandy. He holds the now empty glass in his hand, twiddling around with it as he stares lost in thought.
"I bet he is".....Meanwhile, in Mirkwood......
Legolas walked back inside, taking off his hood. He then changes out of his travel clothes to something else. Done changing he walked down the hall intending go to the gardens.
" Hello Legolas, ion nin. " King Thranduil said in greeting to his son.
Legolas nodded his head. "Hello Ada." He says in return.
"Where have you been all afternoon? I have not seen you since archery practice." The king questioned.
"I went for a walk." Legolas told him.
Thranduil nods. "And where did you go?" Legolas' father asked. "Not past the borders again I hope." He eyed Legolas questionly.
"Well, yes." The prince answered hesitantly, knowing how his father hated it even now when he's grown.
Thranduil quietly sighs, putting his hand gently on Legolas' shoulder. " Please tell me next time alright my son? I need to know so I know.. you're safe." He said, remembering what happened long ago to another who he loved.
Legolas looked at his father and nodded, seeing the concern in his eyes. "I will Ada."
Thranduil smiles. "Good. " He responded, giving his son a nod of approval.
" You may continue on your way now." The Elven King tells him, giving Legolas permission to leave.
Legolas gives his father a smile. "See you later Ada." He tells him as he leaves to the gardens. Once he reaches the gardens he walks up to the balcony, his favorite place. But out of the corner of his eyes he sees he's not alone here. A Elven maiden with orange red hair wanders the place as well, taken a peaceful walk though the well kept path. He smiles, recognizing the woman and watches as she walks gracefully through the gardens.
He had grown feelings for her as of late but he knew his father wouldn't approve so he had done nothing to show them to her. Suddenly someone cleared their throat and he looked down to see the woman had notice him.
"Enjoying the view prince or do you wish to accompany me?" She asks, a slight blush on both of their faces. The Elven woman had feelings in return as well for Legolas but as he did, did not show them.
"May I accompany you?" He asks. The woman nods. "You may." She said, giving him permission to join her.
Legolas comes down from the balcony with a smile and taking her arm, walks with her through the gardens. "It is beautiful out here is it not?" The woman says. "Indeed, it is." Legolas says with a nod. "Like you"... He whispers, just vaguely loud enough for her to hear.
But little did this Elf Prince know that soon this romance and more would be interrupted and his life would turn upside down. Whether or not for the better or worse would all be for him to decide.
