Chapter Eleven

Waiting for Rebecca to arrive I dreamed. After realising that dads words from earlier had gotten into my dream I started to under stand what it meant.

There we were, Quinn and I, looking after a beautiful baby girl with another bun visibly in the oven. Watching from where I was sitting on the couch, I observed Quinn playing with this little bundle of joy who had long brown hair, light brown skin and very pretty blue eyes which she had enheirted from her father. As I watched Quinn play with her I realised he was trying to talk to me.

"Aroha you made me the happiest father in the word with our little angel here and with our own little prince on the way. I am so happy to call you my wife," he said with pride building up inside him.

Before I realised my mouth was working before I knew what I was saying. "Our little family of three soon to be four is perfect isn't it? Our little girl Ātaahua and our little baby. I couldn't have asked for a better father for them."

Rolling over I felt warmth of a body who was not Quinn beside me. My eyes instantly opened. Next to me laid Rebecca starring at me.

"Haha" she said laughing. "You were sleep talking and didn't even notice I was here."

I blushes hoping she didn't know what I was dreaming about.

"Oh look at you blushing. You really are in love with Quinn aren't you bro?"

"Ripeka stuff off. My love life ain't your business so just worry about tours and my half brothers," I snapped at her.

"Fine then" she teased knowing I would give in and tell her adventually. "Quinn has made so kai you better get your fat ass down there and eat it all be fore I do."

We ran down into the kitchen. Set in the table was plates of food. Damn! I forgot how good of a cook Quinn was. Laid out on the table was fruit salads, Maori bread, meat patties and buns for burgers, chocolate cake that looked freshly baked and my favourite of all L&P and beer. Good old New Zealand beer.

"Ahh look who finally decided to wake up," Quinn grinned at me. "How did you manage to wake the poaka momona up with out getting beaten or called a kuri wahine?" He asked Rebecca.

Before she could answer him I cut in. "Shut the hell up Quinn and let us eat. I am starving."

"Eat up."
