Chapter 2 - Not edited yet :)

'Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.'   ~ Marilyn Monroe

Monday. It has to be the worst day of the week. Waking up at 7am for a place where I have to spend over 6 hours of having practically useless information thrown at me really isn't my forte. As I threw my alarm out the door I dragged myself out of bed and trudged towards the bathroom to freshen up.

For some reason I couldn't get Miles' letter out of my head. I didn't really say he was drool worthy out loud did I? I mean even if I did it's not like I said it loudly, I must have only mouthed it to myself, but if I did how did he hear me? Gosh this was way too much thinking for a Monday morning.

After I washed my face and got dressed into a simple pair of dark blue skinny jeans and a maroon jumper, since it was quite chilly today, I packed my bag and left the house. There was no need to say bye to dad since he was at work. As usual. I mean I know he is the only person who can provide us with money after mum left, and don't get me wrong I truly appreciate that, but I just don't see him as much as I wish I could.

After jogging out the door I jumped into my little silver Toyota corolla and begun the 20 minute drive to school. Two minutes in, it once again came to my attention that the silence was killing me. I plugged my phone into the car speakers and just clicked play since I had to keep my eyes on the road. 'Partition', by the one and only queen of music, Beyoncé, came on and as if it was a sixth sense I turned the volume to full blast and begun singing along. It stayed like this for a good fifteen minutes before I entered the school car park and slipped into one of the few spots available.

I pulled my backpack out and begun walking into school. I walked towards my locker and put in my pass code until the lock came undone and I threw my bag in there. As I took out my Math and biology books I begun jogging to home room since I was already late and my home room teacher detests me, and it's not like I love her anyway.

I suddenly tripped over something and dropped all my books. As I looked up I saw the horrible face of Adrian Blackburn. Adrian asked me out in grade 8 and after I rejected him it is as if he has made it his lifelong goal to make the rest of my school years hell. I don't let it affect me and honestly I think that just makes him continue it but I will not let him feel the pleasure of thinking he is in control. I turned around and reached for my books but as I did that he only kicked them further away and sniggered. I of course as instinct grabbed his ankle and pulled it back causing him to face plant the ground and I may have caused his nose to bleed.

As I picked up my books I dusted myself off and glared at Adrian on the floor,

'You got a bit of something on your...' I trailed off pointing towards my nose. He only stared daggers at me and I simply intensified my glare. We stayed like this for a good ten seconds before the blood flow on his nose began to quicken. He got off the floor mumbling some curse words before staring at me once more and walked off. I giggled at the sight, it may be mean but he had it coming. As I made sure I had all my books I heard a slow clap coming from behind me. I turned around and was faced by an amused Miles,

'Geez, remind me not to mess with you.' He said while leaning against the lockers.

I rolled my eyes at his immaturity but he continued on anyway,

'So I thought the letter wouldn't show my gratitude enough about you calling me 'drool worthy'. I mean it's a well known fact but hearing you admit it is just better. Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for that in person' ugh I should've expected something like this from Miles.

'Get over yourself asshole.'

'When you do I will' he replied with a wink. And I glared at him, he raised his hands in defence and I was quite happy with that until he begun speaking again,
