Chapter 8 - Not edited
You could call me crazy. I would probably agree. But no one pranks me and just casually gets away with it. That's probably why it's 4am and I'm sitting on a very unsteady branch outside my neighbours window. My plan is to keep knocking softly on his window to scare the living daylights out of him and every time he comes to check who it is I'll hide in the trees. It's worked four times already and he is currently sitting in the corner of his room, rocking back and forth. That'll teach you to wake me up.
I need to stop putting myself in these situations.
I wrote him a letter earlier and since he's a dumb-ass like I expected he left his window open. I very cautiously lent over towards his window and slipped it in nearly losing my footing before once again hiding in the leaves of the tree. After waiting a couple minutes I heard a door open and from what it seems, he had left his room. This was my chance to finally leave without Miles realizing.
The issue was that although I have an expertise in climbing trees, I wasn't the best at getting down from them. Ten minutes and one scraped, bloody knee later I had finally gotten down from the tree and was on my way up the one leading towards my bedroom window. I feel like such a monkey today. The things I do for revenge.
Once I had finally entered my room I threw myself onto the comfort of my bed and tucked myself in. I was officially prepared allow myself to fall into the heavens of sleep after such a long tiring day. But as always things don't go my way.
I could hear light treading all around my room but even when I opened the lamp there was nothing to be seen. It got slightly stronger and I told myself to go to sleep, I was probably just imagining things after such a long day. After what seemed about five minutes I was still wide awake and could still hear these noises. The light treading suddenly changed to some form of screeching and scratching.
I instantly threw my head under the covers and begun shaking. I had never been good with the dark, I only started sleeping with the lights off at the age of twelve when dad had told me if I slept in the dark I could get the newest toy car I was nagging him about. The shaking soon turned into tears. I have never been an emotional person but my anxiety levels are currently through the roof.
My eyes were shut tight but I could hear the light turn on. After what seemed to be a couple minutes I could hear a light chuckle, the chuckles soon erupted into laughter.
Great my murder was some crazy ass psycho.
"Oh my gosh your face" that was all it took for me to know who my 'murderer' was. I wasn't getting murdered, I was getting pranked. I tore the covers off me and was faced with a very amused Miles.
"Seriously, you should've seen yourself you-" I could hear Miles' voice fade out but my eyes were still looking down slightly shaking,
"Sweetcheeks, look at me." I didn't want him to see the tear stains.
"Tiffany. I said look at me." He said this time in a low stern voice. I slowly raised my head.
"Fuck. Are you crying?" Ugh he had seen me.
"Forget it, out now. If you didn't realize I'm trying to sleep!" I spoke up a little harsher than intended and he looked a little taken a back.
"Do you now sleep in trees that lead up to your neighbours window?" Shit, he knew it was me.
"What are you talking about?" I asked but it came out a little shaky way to prove your point Tiff.
"I know it was you, and that's why I had to go to such drastic measures to get back at you. Nice try princess, A plus for effort though." I glared back at him but the best I could do was throw a pillow at him. He swiftly caught it and placed it down by him.
Stupid fast reflexes.
I begun to throw another pillow at him but he only took it from my hands and placed it on top of the other.
Stupid strength.
I had to work with what I had and was about to throw the small blanket at him but he knew what I was thinking and tore it off if me before I had a chance to.
"I told you princ-" he stopped mid sentence and I looked up at him. I followed his eyes towards the fresh graze on my knee.
Stupid, non-oblivious asshole.
"What's that from?" He asked.
"What my knee? We all have them you know?" I tried acting dumb but he wasn't buying it.
"Princess."
"Asshole." We really are doing so well with these nicknames.
"Tiffany, I'm serious. Have you even washed it?"
"No, it doesn't even hurt that much don't worry about it."
"It could get infected! Where's your first aid kit?"
"Sorry Dr Sole, it just needs a bandaid that's all," I tried leaving the bed but a slight wince left my mouth when I stepped down. Miles raised his eyebrows at me before shaking his head and speaking,
"Doesn't even hurt that much, sure princess. I'll get it where is it?" I pointed towards my bathroom and he headed into that direction. How did I manage to have my neighbour in my bathroom looking for a first aid kit at 5am?
Miles soon returned with the kit and a couple tissues.
"This should make sure if anything came in it that it won't infect it." He said before lightly dabbing the cotton ball soaked in liquid on the graze. I small squeal left my mouth, causing Miles to look up at me,
"I'm sorry princess, only a couple more seconds." He held my leg in place and a shiver shot up through my leg for some reason. His eyebrows were furrowed in concentration and he placed a small bandaid on my knee,
"How'd you do it?" He spoke up,
"Do what?"
"Hurt yourself."
"I kind of fell from the tree as I was trying to slide down." I quietly spoke in embarrassment.
"Your such a crazy ass, loser princess, leave it up to the professionals, like me." I rolled my eyes at him but couldn't help the smile that etched at the corners of my mouth.
"Professional my ass. Now seriously out. I need to get at least half an hour of sleep before school starts."
He walked towards the window and turned to face me,
"I'll pick you up soon princess." Before I could refuse he had swung himself out the window with a small chuckle.

Half an hour. Thirty minutes of sleep caused me to feel like this. All thanks to Miles, who was sitting next to me making sure that he agitated me more than he already has.
I was now sitting in Design Technology and didn't even realise the teacher walk in.
"Well class, today we have a new student joining us." I normally would have wanted to know who it was but honestly today I just wanted to sleep. I folded my arms and put my head down on the desk.
"His name is Colton Manson, I expect you all to give him a warm welcome."
My blood ran cold at the mention of Manson and my head instantly shot up. Staring back at me were the eyes that were so identical that caused so much grief and distress in my life.
