“I can never find the words to describe what you do to me” –Marie Digby

You know those novels and movies that start with the girl waking up smiling like an idiot and shouts ‘Good morning universe’ or any of that shit? Well, I don’t know the point of those, since now that my iPhone’s alarm is hideously ringing so loud that I might turn deaf soon, my hands are itching to shove it in the toilet. Okay, I know I sound harsh right now, but I just feel so cranky that I’m hungry for violence. Why do I have to be the one who needs to wake up so early in the morning?

And I ain’t afraid to show it, show it, show it. I’m sexy and I know it,” my phone rings, or more like screams and nags me to just wake up already.

I spun around after hitting snooze so that my head is buried under my pillow. A few minutes more of sleep won’t do harm.

You make me feel like I’m living a teenage dream!” my phone rings again, getting louder as each word was sung.

Clearly shocked, I jumped up on my bed and screamed. Then, I glared at my phone. Don’t ask me why, though. “It isn’t even two minutes!”

And don’t ever look back, don’t ever look back!” it rung in full volume, successfully breaking my eardrums.

Exasperated, I shouted at the poor device. “Okay, okay, I’m up,” I sighed. Then, I tapped stop, and climbed down the bunk bed.

When I walked to the kitchen while rubbing circles on my temples, I was met with a grinning Sierre, holding a camera and directing it to me.

“Poor phone, you sounded like you were a second into murdering it,” she snickered, then stopped recording the video.

I rolled my eyes. Well, that was awkward.

“Anyways, Nate and Nilla will go here at six, so we better get ready before that,” she reminded me, making me automatically nod.

You see, we have a schedule that we made up yesterday. Monday and Tuesday, Sierre and I will be the ones to pass by their mansion so that we could go together to school. Wednesday and Thursday, it would be Nate and Nilla’s turn. Every Friday, it depends on the pair who got the stronger mood to wake up earlier and go to the other’s place, and this time, it was Nate and Nilla’s time to shine.

Since yesterday, Sierre and I were the ones who went there; the deal obviously just starts now. It’s ironic that we just met the duo on Wednesday, which was our first day, and they immediately became our ditching buddies, and a day after that, we decided right away about who goes to who.

Well, as they say, time doesn’t matter when it comes to friendship.

I grabbed my towel and sprinted to the bathroom. But, before that...

“Sierre, if someone gets to see that video, I’ll make you kiss my feet!”

Then I closed the door.

I followed my usual routine; take a shower, brush my teeth, wash my face, and all the other junk normal people spend their time in the bathroom. Then, I wrapped my towel around me and went out.

Imagine how red my face has become when I saw Nate and Nilla in the living room, happily chatting with Sierre.

“Sierre, I thought they will come here at six?” I asked out loud, which made the three heads snap to look at me. I felt my face turn hotter than how it already is.

She laughed, though I don’t know what’s funny in this situation. Then, Nate’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

He spoke too soon. “But we told her that we moved the time to five-thirty.”
