E.C. 2

 Lighting the Torch.          

       Torch headquarters. a small building that has only 1 floor, 4 rooms and a green house rooftop. 1 big room was for them to loiter, and also act as Maya's office, 1 lavatory, 1 file/computer room, and 1 empty room.  

  The reason why Light City gave them a somewhat low budget building (even though they have the backings of Light City's wealth) is because the group only consists of 4 people. The higher ups expected an army to rid the darkness. Of course they'd give a low budget on that project. They should've just abandoned the project altogether! But that goes to show that the higher ups have that much trust on Maya on succeeding, which makes Maya always on the edge on not failing her masters.  

  The typical day of the group would always be at the large room, where everyone there is doing their own thing. Noel is on the couch playing with his hand held console, while tomoyo is on the chair infront of Maya's desk reading a cook book, Sonely is on another couch located at the opposite side of Noel sleeping, while putting her feet on the table between her and Noel. while Maya is on her chair, reading the news paper, trying to get some work to do.  

  The one who usually breaks the silence is Maya,  who starts to complain about her team's.....moral.

    "Why am i the only one trying to find a job for us!?  You lazy people should analyze the news papers, and see if theres trouble within Light City! or do some patroling!"  

  "Myeah we'll do that later... kinda busy right now."

  Noel replied in a somewhat lazy  manner while playing his console.  

  Then Tomoyo cutted in and said.

   "Hey Maya  we should use that empty room as our kitchen, it'll be easy for us to store food and replenish some energy. plus we wont have to wait for the deliveryman."  

    Then Sonely woke up and cutted in on Tomoyo's conversation with Maya. "NO! It should be used for our equipment storage!"  

 Tomoyo replied: "Why would we need a storage? We have access to the teleporter of light city. We could instantly teleport our equipment, as long as the teleporter knows our coordinates. A kitchen is what we need!"

     "Shut it! We need a storage! Where will we hide the loot that we'll stea... i mean confiscate on our mission eyh!"

   Maya and Tomoyo just stared at Sonely's blunder, making her blush  and silent.  

  "Sooo Maya. About that kitchen" Tomoyo said with a face of victory, knowing now that the kitchen is in her grasp.

    But Maya wasn't in the mood and said in a high tone. "How about we stop playing house, AND START DOING SOME WORK  FOR A CHANGE!!"  

  Everyone in the room panicked at the sight of Maya's anger, and quickly head out to do their patrol.

    After Maya see her team off, she went back to her news paper, and 1 particular article picked her interest."Bloody water supply."

    Maya continued to read the article to gather more information about this blood on their water system.

    It seems that only the northern district is affected by this phenomena, and is only appearing near the newly repaired walls.    

 Maya pondered. It might be just a rusted pipe being dented, due to the walls collapse by an attack from the north.  

   Then Maya  remembered that the higher ups used the prisoners to fix the walls, and it was reported that 19 prisoners escaped, and are still at large.
