Chapter Three
Yes, it bothered him somewhere  within the unseen realm Of his vastly brilliant mind he longed to search for her again! No he was not being overdramatic, overdramatic wasn't his thing , no wasn't his style. Did he have a style?Perhaps. He just hadn't figure it out what it was yet but no he couldn't be ridiculous in wasting all his abilities just to go and search for some girl. He was wasting time? Precious Time and efforts. Time was not a problem he could bend it to his will, it stopped when he asked it to. Why all he had to do was snap his fingers and time would continue back into it's natural flow. Time was a friend so to speak  while in some other ways it avoided him. The reason for this ability he had never known. His theory was it had to do with reality; reality had a elasticity and each and every person have their own reality and he was the reality of all realities which was probably why time was at is his disposal. So perhaps reality in itself rejected him denied his existence just like everybody else did. He did not exist because of belief like the hogfather just was and that was that. Young girls avoided girls weren't too fond of them anyway so why Try? She had said how nice it was to have met him but she was probably just being polite. She have the proper upbringing she had been taught manners and she had most likely grown up having to use them on a daily basis.Death steamed manners as a highly prized gift that any parent would have down to their children after all he had been apparent before a single parent. Too so he could quite identify with those in the similar struggle. Honesty with another girl shoe he prided in dishonesty was in his eyes abominable disloyalty he found to be extremely distasteful and at times it was absolutely unacceptable especially within his own household. Anyone accepted within his house and he expected a certain amount of respect. You didn't have to call me soon and he would never ask them to grovel at his feet he had indeed never asked anyone to borrow low before him all he wish and only wanted all he ever asked for was loyalty. So far no one had fulfilled his wishes at least not in the matters of loyalty. Loyalty had come to be something of his dreams just like love and Justice he knew he could expect no human to vow their full allegiance to him ,no he could give them an eternity ,they all seemed to like the taste of mortality better than spending a whole life run them. A sad story but true most he knew would rather die how sad. Human kind was ,they were so stubborn so blind so arrogant ,careless, so pathetic ,so cruel and so unkind. It was not he who was unkind it was human nature and it was not he who was cruel it was the human heart. He could not bear to help them any longer but then her voice acting within his mind it must be so lonely being on only one like you. Those words effected times in a tremendous way.  Those Words had a sort of unusual energy he did not know how words could have so much power but he was well aware that words could be very dangerous but as he thought about it he realized he was well aware that words could be very dangerous. Words could be fatal, toxic, words could kill! They could be the ruin of an entire Empire, the collapse of any well prospered nation. Words could burn bridges, tear down great towers and even in some cases sink ships! Words had a life all their own and it was what unseen academical swore upon! So no one would would know to look at him but Death loved words, indeed he had a whole room dedicated to such a passion! It was called the library; library held words which contained in what most people call books! These books had a life their own! Unseen academicals did have a life their own but it was not the sort of life he admired! He often wished that Wizards were more like books but if they had been he would have admired them much more ,however he did not! What bothered him about them was these Wizards claimed to be the experts Above All Else and in Ankh Morpork on words! Masters of vocabulary,  Masters of the human incantation of all humankind! They were rather pompous like that and they had that air of importance and severe superiority! At least some of them did and he thought that there were a great too many of them these bumbling idiots who claimed they were ingenious! They lived in their own private university, if they weren't pompous enough they had their own private Tower ;thus was the name unseen academical. The tower was a rather ridiculous and the structure he thought it looked rather out of place for the Spire was so tall that it was not only towered above the city of Ankh Morpork but it sort of hung in a rather unnatural way there in space all crooked and aloof as anything could be. Somehow after all these years it was still their greatest Pride this funny-looking Tower. The Wizards clearly saw Beauty in the ugliest of objects perhaps this was because there was so little beauty in Ankh that humans were the wizardly or on Whitley could not help but invent beauty of Their Own! This beauty usually consisted of a number of Highly sophisticated pieces of Machinery such as trains clocks moving pictures and electric lights and telephones! They were not exactly easy on the eyes so to speak and he couldn't call his inventions pretty. Nature was pretty nature was beautiful in fact there was nothing so pleasing then a rose in full bloom and flowers or such simple Beauties and some could be quite small they were full of life all the same. You like that he was rather attracted to anything or anyone that was full of life. One would think it's pricing but such an individual as himself would appreciate a steady heartbeat but the dead do not make excellent conversationalists and cannot anyway be of good company! He appreciated having someone to talk to someone warm lively maybe even useful but mostly lively and mostly alive he was not a lively fellow himself he had no pulse to speak of and absolutely no heart. So there could be no love, no, none of that nonsense for him or so he thought! He claimed he had never loved and had never fell in love and never had he wanted to love but in truth deep down I believe he wanted to but love just was not his expertise love was a human thing it was supposed to remain that way. No love didn't concern him, what concerned him was that girl, wandering about clueless, possibly homeless, not knowing where in the disc to turn! She wouldn't turn to him he, was sure that no one ever did, except Albert. Albert was a different story entirely with Albert's there was no one like him in all the disc. He was individually unique, however this girl might be unique in her own way as well.
