“Dooo, you remember that clover you gave me once?” Carl asked as we walked down one abandoned road that was by the way, a highway. Big green exit signs were around every hour or so.

“Yeah.” I nodded as I dodged a car door. This really wasn’t a good place to be, but it’s where we were left. We just, sort of, wound up here.

“You wanted me to have luck…” He sighed. “Why’d you leave?” He stopped walking and squinted his eyes at me. Those, beautiful ice blue eyes the just sucked you in-wait…what?

I shook my head trying to remember the question. “Oh…uh…After, I killed my, sister, I needed to work out some things. Once you let go of the past, it’s best to, make your own future. Settle yourself, then go back to what’s true.” I didn’t even know what I was saying. When I left the prison, after my sister, I was feeling like…I could let go. My rich, sick dad…everything.

I smiled. “Hey! You wanna see something?” I turned to Carl.

He just looked up at me without any sense of excitement. He was like this before but…geez.

I then started to unbutton my shirt a little.

“What are you doing?” Carl said almost in a shout.

I stopped for a second, then realized what it LOOKED like I was doing. Yes…my father used to abuse me, and he would get a little grabby…but I was never violated, no boyfriends or anything because of my dad, so on, so forth, so my point is…I’m a little out of my element when it comes to knowing what’s appropriate and what’s just…weird…

I scoffed I was so embarrassed. I pulled out a shiny round small diamond hanging on a thin strong chain.

Carl’s eyes just focused on it.

“It’s the necklace you gave me. Remember?”

“Yeah. I almost lost my fingers trying to get it. Michonne had to…help me.”

I brushed off his sadness and just continued the conversation as we went on walking. “I knew you got those cuts for this!” I pointed at him.

                He just laughed a bit.

“We should get a car.” I mused. After hopping over to a sports car, I sat in the seat and saw the keys were still there. I sighed. “What I don’t get is why there are no walkers here.”

Carl stood watch and just kept looking around.

“Come on.” I stated. He ran over, then hopped in.

“Seat belt?” I said as I hooked mine. He just looked at me like I was crazy. I shrugged and started the car. Now, I didn’t know Georgia all that much. Remember… I’m from out of state, but, I was guessing that all the exits led to a lot of shopping areas meaning, a crap ton of walkers. So, I started the car, made my way through a few blocks, and off we sped. No, exits.

Carl held his hat in his lap and let the wind blow his hair all over the place. My hair had been in a bow ever since it got too long, and I didn’t want to cut it for some reason. So, in this car ride, my hair got only a little tangled, especially the few strands that were loose near my ears and everywhere else on my hair line, and, I saw Carl’s forehead for the first time in, ever.

Heya people! If this chapter was a little confusing because of their conversation, uh, it’s pretty much explained in my other walking dead fanfiction, very last chapter. Remember, this is a spin off to my fanfiction. XD And, I know, I know, this music was made after the apocalypse started but at least it’s not playing in the story, it’s just playing. So, if you have any music you think I should listen to, I’d be glad to hear. Thanks so much for reading! Vote and Comment please!!! Love you!
