At school, I noticed that there was a new girl. She looked familiar, but I couldn't figure out where I'd seen her before. At my free period, I met Scott and Allison in the library. Stiles, Jackson, Lydia, and Carter have a different free period than us.
"Did you see that new girl?" I asked Scott as I sat down.
"Yeah. I think it's Melanie Parker from seventh grade," he answered.
"Oh, yeah. I knew I recognized her."
"Who are you talking about?" Allison asked.
"It was this girl from seventh grade who had braces and pimples all over her face. Now she had a huge glow up. She looks like a model," I explained.
"I heard she's trying out for the cheer leading squad at the same time as Lydia. I wonder who will be the new captain since the other one is going to be home schooled," Allison said.

"We should try out, Allison. It could be fun."
"You guys would look hot in those uniforms and it would be good to have you cheer for the team," Scott said.
"Stiles would love it," Allison said with a wink.

"It's an inside joke. You wouldn't get it," I said.
"Well, it's settled. We're trying out for the squad."
