The Attack

While I'm at school, I feel wind and realize that I'm not in school anymore. Klaus is suddenly in front of me and I sigh.

"I thought we were officially out of it," I said.

"Plans have changed. I just need your help to watch Hope. I believe Elijah told you about the supernatural being after her. Well, that supernatural being just attacked the mansion and we need somewhere safe to keep her. Do you want to help or not?" He said.

"Of course I'll help. I can't let a little girl die. Where is Hope?"

"She is with Elijah in the woods. I told them to wait until you said yes."

"Bring her to me. We don't have time to waste, Klaus!"

Klaus left and came back with Hope. I smiled at her and she smiled back.

"Hope, this is my friend, Chrissie. She's going to watch you while Uncle Elijah and I go do something," Klaus said.

"Okay, dad. Where's mom?" She asked.

"Your mother has something very important to do with us. Don't worry, Chrissie is very nice and will take very good care of you."

"Okay."

Klaus kissed her forehead, then left. I just realized that I'm not even at school still. How am I going to get back? Google maps. I search my location on my phone and follow the directions. Hope and I end up back at the school. I look at the time and see that it's almost time for free period.

"Are you bringing me to school with you?" Hope asks.

"Yeah. It's one of the safest places you can be. There are werewolves and witches here," I answered.

"Like your friend, Scott?"

"Yeah."

"I heard Aunty Bex and Uncle Elijah talking about how you helped Scott by doing something. I only heard a little bit of what they said."

"Oh. I did help my friend, Scott. I can't wait for you to meet my boyfriend," I said as we walked through the hallway.

"You have a boyfriend? What's his name?"

"His name is Stiles. He is really nice."

We walked into Chemistry and everyone saw me with Hope. I just walked to my seat and put Hope in it. Next, I grabbed a seat for me and I sat down next to her.

"Are you Stiles?" Hope asked Stiles. She was sitting in between us. He nodded and shot me a questioning look.

"Stiles, this is Hope. I'm watching her for Klaus," I explained.

"Hi, Hope," Scott said from behind us.

"You must be Scott," she said with a smile.

"Yup."

Mr. Harris saw Hope and called me to his desk. I explained that I had to watch her and he said that I couldn't have kids in school. Suddenly, a mysterious guy walked into the classroom and talked to Mr. Harris.

"You will let her keep the girl here and not mention it to anyone," he said in a low voice. Mr. Harris seemed to be in a trance and said that he would do it. I started walking back to my desk when the guy grabbed my arm.

"Who are you and what did you do to him?" I whispered.

"I'm Stefan Salvatore. I'm one of Klaus'...friends, I guess. He needed my help and I owed him for saving me a while ago. I'm a vampire and I just compelled him," he explained.

"Okay. Would you mind if I call Klaus to make sure? He'll kill me if something happens to her, so I want to be careful."

"Go ahead."
