Kayla's POV.

I can't believe I'm going home. This is amazing, I'm so happy. I pack the little stuff that I have, ready to go. We are driving down tonight. It will take a few days, but it's all good. Jessie and I have become best friends, and she has taught me all her makeup secrets and tips. I'm really gonna miss her.

We pack together, and talk non stop. We sit in the back of the car together, ready to go. "I'm gonna miss you so much!" she said, hugging me.

"Hey, we still have to be stuck in a car for a few days together. You'll be sick of me by then," I say lightly. She laughs a little.

We talk for awhile, until around 1 AM, then we got hungry. We asked Mason to get some fast food. He pulls up to Mac Donald's and orders a bunch of food. Once I I'm finish eating, I get tired and look out the window at all the lights and stars. I slowly fall asleep.

The next few days past by slowly, my anticipation wearing thin. I just can't wait to see my family. But everytime I think that, I always get this sad feeling. I should hate everything about Luke, but I just don't. I can't. It's not his fault, none of this is. I mean, he technically saved me.

I look over at him in the front seat, he's asleep. He's just a normal boy. He is. I can see that. Suddenly Mason goes over a speed bump, fast. I feel my stomach lurch. I watch at Luke's head huts the window with a thud, Mason laughing as it wakes both Jessie and Luke up. I laugh too, as Luke rubs his head and groans. Jessie reaches over and smacks Mason in the head.

"As*shole," she says, although there us a small smile on her lips. She chuckles a little, then starts looking at her phone to find out how close we are.

"Hey, no hitting the driver!" Mason laughs.

Luke leans over and looks at the radio. "10 in the morning. Think we can pull over so we can change. Also I'll drive the rest of the way, you've been driving non stop."

"How kind. Yeah, sure, I'll stop at Walmart," Mason says, parking.

We all get out and go into the bathrooms. I wash my hair in a sink, use the bathroom, and dry my hair with the dryers as much as possible. Jessie does the same. I put on a black Batman shirt and a back hat backwards. I put on some black ripped jeans, and a black Batman watch. I love matching, plus, where could you go wrong with Batman?

Jessie does a joker theme, and when we finish we walk out. We meet at a small side store and get some breakfast burritos.

"what took you guys so long? Took you like an hour!" Luke said, finishing his burrito as I open mine.

" we washed our hair and did our makeup," I said, taking a bite.

"we washed our hair too. It took us five minutes, " Luke said flatly. Mason nodded as he took a sip of his soda.

"Yeah well our hair is linger and we dried it. You guys obviously didn't dry yours," I say, rolling my eyes at the pointless conversation. They just shrug and wait for us to finish eating.

We pile back into the car, and buckle up. "How far are we?" I ask, excited.

"About an Hour," Mason answered. I just about jump with excitement. I can't wait to see my family. I know I probably said that a million times, but oh it's so true.

I lean against Jessie, thinking about home. I close my eyes, and I dream about my home and family. I wake up to the car stopping, and I quickly sit up. We're here! I gasp aloud. We are parks just around the corner of my house.

"Well, here you are," Mason says, yawning. It's about 2 in the afternoon. I hug Jessie and say goodbye to Mason. I look at Luke, and he looks at Mason. "I'll be right back," he says, then opens to door and gets out. I get out too. My stomach starts to do flips, as it's only me and Luke.

We walk behind the car. We just look at each other for a few seconds, before he suddenly pulls me into a hug. "I'm so sorry, I just...I wish I never took you, but man am I glad I met you," he mutters into my hair. I feel tears start to fill my eyes as I warp my arms around him and take in his scent.

"I'm gonna miss you," I say in a shaky voice. He pulls away, keeping his hands on my arms. He sear he's my face, then wipes my tears. "Don't cry," he whispers. "You're going home, remember?" he says. I don't trust myself to speak, because I know my voice would crack, so I just nod. He looks into my eyes.

"I just...I wish I could go back in time and fix this, you don't deserve this," he says, looking away.

Suddenly words spill from my mouth before I even know what I'm saying. "I'm glad you took me. I'm so happy you did, because if you didn't I would have never met the person I love so freaking much," his beautiful eyes look into mine, confused at first. He suddenly puts his hand on the small of my back and gently pushes me into a kiss. He leans down a little, and I wrap my arms around his neck, standing on my toes. He kisses gently, his lips so soft against mine. I never want it to end.

But eventually he pulled away, and we just looked into each other's eyes, both of ours brimmed with tears. "I love you," he says. "Now go."

I'm at loss of words, and I try and process everything. "I-" he cuts me off, putting a finger to my lips. "Go," he says quietly. And I do. I adjust my bag on my shoulder then turn around and start walking towards my house. I look behind me one last time, before I turn the corner, and he is out of view.
