(Music Plays) "I will not bow, I will not break.." I hear my alarm play. I roll over to shut it off but can't
grasp my phone. I open my eyes and realize I'm in wolf form. Ah shit, not again. I think cusing myself and
shifting back quickly. I look around my room and see muddy paw prints leading to my window. Crap mom
is gonna kill me. I jump up and start cleaning when I hear a low growl rumble from the front of the house.
Shit shit shit. I go over to my window to see and hear my mom yell my name, while turning to my window.
"HUNTER REBEL MOON!! You better not have tracked this all the way through my house again!!" I
smile down and wave at her with a sheepish grin. Her eyes didn't falter, deep blue, ice cold stare, pirecing stare. i scanned the roof next to my
window, muddy paw prints. "I'll clean it up, i promise." I shouted. She just glared then used the pack link
to scold me further. "You had better get this cleaned up before the pack conference this afternoon." She
was using her Luna Alpha tone. "I will I will." I responded. She looked at me huffed and walked back
inside. "You running late again?"my Beta's voice in my head. "You know I run every night." I responded
while heading to the front door, meeting him on the muddied steps. He grinned and handed me the power
washer. "You forget to shift again," others say, chuckling, walking past into the pack house. I roll my eyes and fire up the power washer.I'm an Alpha, the only daughter of The Alpha, to be exact. From first glance you wouldn't know I was any different from any other pack member. Average build, average height. Short brown hair, brown eyes. But when I shift I stand roughly six feet tall on all fours. I have a black and grey coat, with flecks of silver throughout. My eyes turn from brown to a golden yellow and I am everything not average as a wolf. I run late every night. It helps my body unwind and my mind relax. But lately I have been pushing myself, I get back so tired I can barely make it to my room. At least last night I got on the roof, other nights I haven't been so lucky.
"So whats the game plan today?" Damien said, leaning up against the porch railing. Damien is my
Beta. He is my closest and most trusted friend even before he officially became my Beta. He stands 5'6", sandy hair, solid built and a stud to all other females he meets. "Well obviously I have to clean." I said shooting him a coy look. He laughed and retorted, "Yeah
obviously. After cleaning but before the pack confrence." "Why would I care about the confrence?" I said
focusing on spraying the mud clumps off the deck. "You know Alpha will want you there." He said. I
sighed, being the only daugther of the Alpha had its perks but that also meant I had to play my part in many
pack events. I sighed, "Yeah yeah i know." I hated it when he was right. Our pack was know as the Guardians of the Moon. We were decendants of the Moon Goddesses guards. A fact that no one took lightly. We were leaders to the community and we hosted serveral packs as they passed through our lands or needed assistance. My father and mother were the Alphas and very
untraditonally traditonal. They believed in pack higerarcy, traning and lifestyle but they also believed in
the unity of all packs, this included rogues. Rogues were ruthless, lawless and pretty much outlaws to
our packs. We fought them several times a month. But my parents believed that this was counter
productive. To make strong packs stronger and ensure to the survival of our culture and species. We needed to quit fighting each other. They would allow rogues to join packs provided they went through a rehabilitation program and became contributing members of the pack.Hell Damien used to be a rogue, now I trust him with my life and in
return he trusts me with his. Now its not the same for everyone and there are rogues we have had to kill due to
their threat. But my parents wanted to bring all packs together and stop the killing of our own. Most other
packs accepted this and some even joined the cause allowing our rehabilitated rogues to join them. But
others simply agree to disagree and keep their packs in house.Thats what this conference was about. Another meeting of the pack Alphas to disccus the handleing of
some rogues who didn't want to play by the rules and insisted on hunting our lands. From the rumors, it
sounds like a hunting party. A chance to go out and dismantle some growing rogue groups. Taking the Alphas out, if you can call them that, and in my parents eyes help those who fell under the misguided minds of others. Giving the Deltas, Gammas and everyone underneath a chance at a real pack life. Those who didn't have a choice but to be rogue.
