**Author's Note**

Hey, guys, I'm so sorry for the lack of updates on this story, but with a combination of writer's block and school, I haven't really had time to write. But, a new chapter is finally here! And I'm hoping to continue writing this and updating more frequently! Thanks for sticking with me!

Side note: I know that the names for the twins are different in my story than they are in the actual book, but since I'm putting my own spin on the ending, I thought I'd change a few names around, and the twins' happened to be a few of them

"What are you going to name them, honey?" Dad asked me as he looked down at the twins.

"Charlotte and Alexander--or Alex for short," Maxon said after I nodded at him.

Just then, Charlotte started to cry. I brought her up to my chest and rubbed her back to try and soothe her, though that didn't work.

"Are you hungry, honey?" I asked, speaking softly to her.

At that, her crying stopped, almost as if she knew what I was asking her.

"I'll take that as yes," Maxon laughed.

"America, are you going to nurse them, or did you plan on bottle feeding them?" Dr. Allen asked me.

"Um, I don't know. Probably bottle feeding," I said.

She nodded and turned back to the counter. When she faced us again, she had two bottles in her hands. She gave one to me, and one to Maxon.

He and I both adjusted how we were holding the twins before placing the bottles in their open mouths.

It took about five minutes for both of them to finish.

With a little help from my mom and Dr. Allen, we were shown how to burp them and rock them back to sleep.

"Come on girls, let's give your sister some time to herself before everyone shows up to see the twins," Mom said, once again leading May and Kenna out of the room.

As soon as my family was out of the room, Maxon's head dipped down onto my shoulder and he was asleep in seconds.

I had just started to doze off myself when I heard the bedroom door open again.

I saw Clarkson and Amberly walk into the room and smile at the scene before them.

"Should we wake them up?" Amberly asked, turning to her husband.

"That's up to you, dear," Clarkson said.

"I'm not sleeping," I said to them.

"Sorry for interrupting your time together, but I couldn't wait any longer to meet them," she said, walking into the room and pointing at the twins.

"It's alright. Let me just wake Maxon up first," I said. But, I didn't need to wake him up, Charlotte did it for me when she began to cry.

"Hey, it's alright baby girl," he said, bringing her up to his chest as he blinked the sleep out of his eyes.

"Welcome to parenthood," Clarkson said with a laugh.

"Thanks dad," he chuckled.

"What did you name them?" Amberly asked.

"Charlotte and Alexander," Maxon said.
