Chapter 2
Walking into the house with the promise of a kiss on our lips and the scent of love on our skin was an airy feeling. Our hands were linked as we walked side by side. Literally. Our arms were touching as we walked into the living room where Zayne and Liam sat playing cards. They noticed our hands and exchanged a look.
"Um,"Liam started. "What's this I see?" His lips curling into a smile.
Zayne looked up at Louis from his seat on the ground. "Vas happening, boys?"
Liam, Louis, and Zayne burst into laughter. I didn't know what to do as they laughed about some inside joke I hadn't heard.
I was floating... breathing.
**Louis' Point of View**
My hand stayed in Lyss' while we laughed at Zayne. I felt... like I wasalive. Was this what love really felt like? It was mesmerizing. Harry walked in from the kitchen with a sandwich in his hands. He noticed our hands together.
"I didn't think the fight was that serious, Lou." Harry winked and fist-bumped me. "Congrats."
My body went cold. I'd forgotten about Eleanor. We had a fight, but we didn't say we were through. What had I done...? I looked at Alyssa to my right. Her face looked confused about what Harry said.
"Fight?"She asked, tilting her tiny head to the side.
I put my hand under her chin. "It's nothing." Her eyes looked around the room. I could see she was worried. Harry's eyes were wide at me.
"Lou, I need to speak with you." His voice was serious. "Kitchen." I nodded grimly. Alyssa looked at me with wide, scared eyes.
"It's... It'll be fine, Lyss." I kissed her soft and quick. "Don't worry."I left her to sit with Zayne and Liam.
Harry was frustrated. Very frustrated. His eyebrows were stitched together, trying to understand something. "What... What were you thinking?"He said quietly. "How could you do this to her? That sweet, innocent girl out there..."
I rubbed at my face. "We got into a fight. It was pretty big. We didn't break it off, but I am. Right now. I just have to figure out what to tell her."
"You're going to break it off with Eleanor?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because, Harry! It doesn't feel like anything feels with Alyssa. She makes me... feel! She makes me feel and that's it. Eleanor doesn't do anything for me. She's selfish and I love her, I do, but as a person and not as a... well, as a lover." My heart was hurting. I didn't feel anything for Eleanor anymore. She was just there for... space. I don't even know.
"Are you sure about this?" Harry was concerned.
"You don't know what if feels like to have your arms around her. You don't know how bad I need to touch her. I just have to know she's alright. I have to kiss her. It's something like... like magnets or like something that attracts. Like a moth to a flame. She's that flame and I'm the stupid moth who needs to go towards the burning light because it pulls at me."
"I just wanna make sure you know what you're doing. You need to explain to her what we were talking about."
"I know."
"Do you?"
"Yes, Harry." I walked out of the kitchen and grabbed Lyss' hand, taking her to my room.
