*three weeks later*
"Niall, tell Louis to go away." I begged him. "I haven't had any time alone since the hospital."
Niall laughed. "Wonder why that is..?"
I gave him a glare. "I'm not going to kill myself. I'm telling you that it's not my choice to go!" I kept trying to explain to them what was happening. Someone still had part of me on the other side. Something was wrong, like not every part of me had returned to my body.
"Yeah, yeah." Niall said, waving his hand at my face.
Louis looked up from the chair across the room and gave me a half smile. He hadn't talked to me since I told him I was still leaving. I smiled back... sort of. It turned out to be a rather awkward twitch of the face. He began to laugh, but quickly looked ou the window and ignored me once again.
"See!" I pointed my hand towards Louis. "He won't talk to me, yet he stays in here. Today was the first day since I told him that he's actually acknowledged me!"
Niall looked at Lou for a second and then shrugged. "Watch TV. Go out to eat. I don't care. Long as you don't kill yourself in the process." He rubbed my head and walked out the door.
I grumbled. "I hate you."
"Love you more, honey!" Niall answered.
I sat in our bed awkwardly. The house he bought for us was large, but homey. The floors were hardwood, the walls were full of pictures of memories the boys and I had together, and everything felt... normal. Except for Louis. He sat in the chair in the corner every day and night. If I got up to go eat, he came with me. If I went to the store, he came with me. If I had to pee, he came with me. He even makes me shower in front of him. Secretly, I think that's for his pleasure... he won't touch me, otherwise.
We didn't talk, like usual. We breathed very quietly, ignoring the 500 pound gorilla in the room. An hour passed before Harry showed up in the doorway.
"Harry!" I screamed and jumped into his arms. "Thank God you're here." I darted my head to Louis. "Someone still won't speak to me."
Harry laughed and kissed my cheek. "Still pissed, huh, Lou?"
Louis shrugged and turned back to face the window. "Can you get him to speak to me?" I pleaded to Harry.
"I've already tried, babe."
"Well... I just... Oh, damn it all. Never mind." I moved passed Harry and walked to the kitchen. Louis' bare feet tapped on the floor behind me, followed by Harry's sneakers. "If you don't let me be alone for like ten minutes, Louis, I'm going to go insane."
Louis shrugged in response and shook his head.
I whined and folded my arms across my chest.
"Louis, talk to her." Harry wrapped his arms around Lou's neck and smiled. "Boo bear."
A smile threatened to reveal itself at the corner of Louis' mouth, but he hid it, shoved Harry's arms off his shoulders, and walked over to me. His face was an inch from mine, his breath was hot and heavy. I lifted myself off the floor with my tiptoes, my face moving closer to his. Louis stayed still, not moving. Harry had left in the midst of this. Louis' hands fell gently on either side of my face. He moved his thumbs across my cheek, back and forth. I closed my eyes and released myself into Louis' warm body. His arms wrapped around me, fitting against my body like a rubber glove.
