Knock knock
"Come in," I said.
"Kaeleen are you ready?" it was Susan."Oh my, Kaeleen you look gorgeous."
"Thanks. You look gorgeous too. I just don't know what to do with my hair."I sighed.
"Don't worry. I will do it."
"Thanks, Susan."
I sat and she started doing my hair.
"Done."
"It's beautiful. Thank you so much, Susan."I said and hug her.
"It's nothing. Now come on. We are late." We went out and headed to the ballroom. Just when guards wanted to open doors for us, I stopped.
"What's the matter?"
"I forgot mum's necklace."I said."You go and I will come."I said and went back to my room. I took mum's necklace and put it around my neck. On the way back, three ladies came to me.
"Hello lady Kaeleen." one said.
"Hey," I said.
"I heard you are dating King Edmund," she said.
"Yeah."
"Well listen here. Edmund doesn't love you for real. He just wants to have peace between Narnia and Archland."
" No that's not true."
"Yes, it is. I mean did you even have a boyfriend before? I guess not. And you know why? Because you are ugly. And fat. Just look at yourself. Who would ever want to date someone like you?"
Tears were rolling down my cheeks.
"That's not true. Edmund loves me."
"Is he? I don't think so."
I run away. I run into my room. I leaned on the door. Why did she have to say that? Am I not enough insecure? But she is telling truth. Edmund doesn't love me. How could he love me? There is only one thing to do. I went into the bathroom. I broke a glass and took one piece. I put in on my arm. Just when I wanted to pull a piece, a hand stop me.
"No!"It was Edmund.
"Don't you ever do that."I looked at him. He looked sad. He slowly took a piece and place it on the floor. Then he took me out of the bathroom. He sat me on the bed. He kneeled in front of me.
"Why Kaeleen? What made you think to do something like that? I don't understand. I could lose you." he was crying.
"I'm sorry," I whispered. He sat next to me and pull me in a hug.
"It's just, a girl told me you were with me just because there could be peace between our countries. And that you can't love someone like me. I'm ugly."I was sobbing right now.
"No, no, love, that's not true. Don't trust them. They are just jealous. You are beautiful. You have those beautiful ocean eyes. I love to lose in them. You have a beautiful soft hair. I love to play with her. I know it's calm you down. You are gorgeous, don't forget that. Now how about we go on a ball and make it official. We even have our own dance and I don't wanna miss it." he said and kiss my lips. I kiss back.
