Luckily, the triplets didn't see anything because they were too busy in actually waiting for me outside of the school. They were a couple blocks away with the car and once they saw me, they yelled at me to get inside quickly, and they started driving, making sure not to go past the speed limit so that there are no interruptions from the police stopping us.
I knew that everything wasn't okay when Nathan had gotten here and why he was threatening me with being Luke, but I never expected this. I never expected for Luke and I stuck in different side of gangs, having both lockdowns, and preparing for war against them.
Right as we were in the middle of the road, Elliot, who's riding shotgun while Dylan drives and I was stuck with Connor with me, fishes out his phone and calls Nathan, placing him loudspeaker. "Hey, Boss. We're a few hours away. ETA is about 3:48am."
"Okay," He sounded rough. "Give the phone to Rosalie."
Elliot turns, handing me the phone and I take it, turning off the loudspeaker and pressing it against my ear. "What the hell is happening, Nathan? You're telling me now. On the phone. Stop keeping me from the dark if you're going to pull me back in."
"I will, okay?" He says, frustration on the tone of his voice but what he didn't get was that I was frustrated too.
Frustrated because he was pulling me back when we said I was out. Frustrated because he's been keeping everything from the dark even from his fiancée. Frustrated because he didn't give me a choice whether to choose what I wanted. Frustrated because I know damn well enough that Luke and I were going to be caught in the middle of the hellfire both sides were starting and there was no damn way out of it.
Everything was getting on my nerves.
So, I hang up on him and toss the phone back to Elliot.
"Here, drink this," Connor passes me his bottled water. "No alcohol in it, I swear."
I took a huge swig of the drink, feeling the cool liquid go down, and then giving it back to him.
And it was a silent ride up until I fell asleep.
I wasn't at the house. When I had woken up from the sound of the car door opening, I found myself being restricted from movement with cable wires tied around my wrist from behind.
"What the—?" Gazing up, I see Elliot holding the car door steady while Connor grabs my arm, pulling me out. "What the fuck is this, guys?"
"Shut up," Connor snaps. "If you would have had drunk the damn water all the way, you would still be asleep until you got inside. But, since you're here and have absolutely nowhere to go, I'm not that complaining."
My head turns. There was no way out. In front was an old abandoned warehouse and all around were trees—the woods basically. I didn't have an indication on where I was exactly but I knew damn well that they must've driven back to the town, knowing that this is exactly where the base is.
Shadows' base.
"I'm going to fucking kill all of you!" I hiss, trying to pull my wrist back. This time, Connor and Dylan hold me from each arm, their hands tightening. "You were the ones that were the traitors. Not me. What the hell have you guys been doing? You guys were in Notorious for a long time and this is how you repay Nathan? Giving his sister to the devil?"
Dylan shakes his head as Elliot leads the way up to the door, pushing it back to give them way to pull me in. No matter how much I screamed about killing them and kicked them in their legs, they were bigger than me, and they knew damn well that I wouldn't be able to do anything but do those things.
